I had been reading some Doom Patrol reprints as a kid, and this shocked me For some reason this issue came to mind to me as well & I almost posted the cover. I bought this issue new at the time (1978?) and recall reading it and being excited because it was #94 & had the words "THE NEW" above the title, same as X-Men when it had its reboot just a few years prior. I liked the Joe Staton art & Jim Aparo cover but really can't remember the story, been almost 40 years since I read it. I think it lasted for 3 issues but no Doom Patrol series followed.

I didn't know the X-Men at that point and until your post had never realized the "94" connection. Yet another DP / X-Men connection...

D'oh! Alright, hopefully third time's the charm. And thanks for the welcome! You can't hotlink to the GCD. Sorry about that, Slam. I've corrected it. You're able to see the image because it's in your browser cache, Question--but the rest of us are not able to see it. As Slam noted, you need to use a source other than the GCD/comics.org. Try the Comic Book Database comicbookdb.com/ And welcome to the CCF! Looking forward to seeing your cover--the suspense is killing me

Looking forward to seeing your cover--the suspense is killing me I'm still not seeing it. I had some issues like this from time to time, so I eventually decided it was easier to save the image to my computer, upload it to either photobucket or imgur, and post that link. That way it insures everyone can see it, and that it won't be randomly resized or something.

It took a while, but this version of the DP did get a series in 1987, and were the team with a few additions for the first dozen or so issues until Morrison took over.

...hopefully third time's the charm... Ah, looks good now. That's an exceptional cover by Johnny Craig--great choice!
