No one is asking you to withdraw, you're doing a good job. The trouble is, that these contests always gets resolved by a vote. Always. So theres no need to have the people that are tied to "work it out" Don't be sensitive, you're doing just fine.

I'm not sure where the confusion comes from when there is a tie. If it's tied when the voting period ends, just post that there is a tie and wait for a tiebreaking vote. When someone casts it, you announce the winner. No one needs to discuss anything, it's just wait for the tiebreaking vote. Could take a few minutes, could take a few hours, could take the better part of the day, but someone will cast it.
If you truly don't want to do it anymore, it's understandable. It happens. Someone else will pick up the gauntlet or we'll just figure it out week to week. Your efforts have been appreciated though.

Mecha, please stop making this a dialogue between the people that are tied. There has to be a winner by a vote as per the rules placed at the beginning of each contest thread. I'm sorry that I don't quite understand what you are conveying here and therefore - I'm so frustrated of what to do with all the ties that we have been experiencing of lately and having said that - I'm officially withdrawing my duties of being the scorekeeper of this contest and having said that it's been nothing but a headache for me because I'm basically spinning my wheels trying to come up with a decent winner here. I'm out after next week. There's really no issue here, Mecha. Someoone always wins the vote. I think the problem may be that you're assuming we're all living in the same time zone as you. You just need to wait for everyone to catch up.

Thanks guys, but I feel frustrated when we have a tie at the end of the contest and I just don't know what to do here and having said that - I'm going to put my efforts elsewhere to concertrate on my thread 50 of the Best Supporting Characters and this is my last contest as a scorekeeper and I'm feeling that my time here has comes to the end. It's hasn't been fun for me and I decided to move on and concertrate elsewhere. I hope you understand how I feel about this.

Sorry to see you leave the contest, Mecha, but I'm sure we all respect your decision. A side note, I just love these covers (2 of which were submitted in the "reinvention" contest). As has often been noted, Sekowsky and Cardy drew some great-looking women. Props also to Giordano who inked Mike S. here.

Props also to Giordano who inked Mike S. here. it also points out how many times they had to change the characters in the WW world to get fans to buy the book.

I meant that Wonder Woman has had a lot of different directions in her history , almost like they didn't know what to do with her.

I meant that Wonder Woman has had a lot of different directions in her history , almost like they didn't know what to do with her. but she never had to have a clone brought in or sell her soul to the devil because they couldn't figure out what to do with her did she? Over 50 years (Marvel) or 75 years (Wonder Woman) there are going to be time they have to reinvent characters ot make them work with current audiences. It happens to the best and worst of characters. Batman has had reinventions, Superman, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, etc. etc. all because someone (writer, editor, or whomever) didn't think what they were doing was working and they wanted to try something new, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Change is constant. That's not a reflection on the quality (or lack thereof) of characters. It's the nature of trying to tell stories about a character over a half century or longer when the world is constantly changing. -M
