I wonder if it's gonna be another Crisis/New 52 Style reboot. Well the Anti Monitor is running amok in the Johns written Justice League right now, so I imagine he can reset everything.

Whatever. I'll continue getting whatever Superman's in and my favourite writers as I can afford them. New Superman writer David S. Goyer will make sure every issue will be "snappy."

If DC is committed to doing two issues of major titles each month, then I imagine "TBD" will be getting a lot of work on the art side. Maybe DC can bring back the surprise of going to the shop by not listing artists at all. You won't know who drew the issue (and it could be several artists) until you read it.
Also, covers will be extra. Normal price will get you ads with a little box telling you what comic and issue it is. You want a drawn cover, you'll need to pay. $1 extra for someone like Scott Kolins, $5 for a b&w Kolins variant and $25 extra for something we found by Ernie Chua in a drawer.

Hmm Bob Harras and JimLee already in the House, and Rebirth screams Heroes Reborn to me, so maybe Rob Liefled will be coming back too and we get the Lee/Liefeld DC Heroes Reborn Rebirth...I can see it now....then DC Heroes Return in a year...ahhh with Bloodlines it' already a nineties fest so this is them going all in right? -M

This is all so beyond pathetic that I can't even criticize it anymore.* I won't be reading anything, so it's a moot point personally, but I can't help but wonder if it's ever going to dawn on the people on high still mildly interested in the concept long-term sustainability that they're not producing comics in a way that supports...sustainability? Short burst of success...failure. Rinse and repeat. It's time to close the book, so to speak, on the monthly model. Reader's quickly lose interest and drift away in a relatively short period, so why prolong the hurt? We all know it's all just R&D anyway and the profits are a pittance to WB and Disney overall, so why not go for a season model, stop flooding the market with crap, and focus on quality? *But I apparently will anyway.

I wasn't buying much DC before the Nu52and when it relaunched, only Birds Of Prey. After dropping that, I've been buying the Brian Hitch JLA. These days I follow artists, anyway. I have been picking up the odd book in discount bins.

Actually that's common for almost every Big 2 book being published over the past couple years...it won't be new to a DC rehash. I bet many independent sellers are organising artists to do their independent exclusives too...

Unless there's a new Animal Man, Blue Beetle, or Swamp Thing book coming out of this, I think DC and I will be trying out a trial separation for awhile. I know it may come off as really Marvel fanboy-ish, but going all the way back to being a kid in the 70's I never really cared for the majority of DC characters outside of Batman and Swamp Thing. At least not enough to buy their books on a regular basis. Some stuff would come along and interest me here and there like Morrison's run on Animal Man or Ennis' Hitman series, but I've never been particularly interested in most of the DC heavy hitters like Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, or Flash.

It seems in the wake of DC and Marvel's continuing strangling of the golden goose, you might think that some of the vet superhero writers/artists would try to launch a new an interconnected line with Image. (I know there is an Image/Invincible universe...but I was thinking more like start from scratch series.)

Ancillary rumors: Snyder off of Batman, which will go bi-weekly. Instead he will write monthly Detective Comics. Snyder is still writing Batman? Wow, that dude was on the book when I gave up on DC seven years ago.

I wonder if it's gonna be another Crisis/New 52 Style reboot. I have a feeling fans are probably sick of these. If they were, they'd be doing the logical thing and showing their frustration by not buying any of the books

I don't think comic companies have ever been interested in sustainability - I read a lot of stuff about comics, have full runs of Back Issue and Alter Ego and a bunch of Comics Journals, and I never get the sense that anyone was thinking more than a couple months ahead. And sometimes it works! Atlas/Timely/Marvel had the most titles of any company in the early '50s through cancelling and/or relaunching and/or retitling all their books to jump on the trend of the month.
