Rumor now is Marguerite Bennett (former student of Scott Snyder's writing class) will be taking over the bi-weekly Wonder Woman book that comes out of Rebirth, meaning the Finches are off the book after #52.

I wish DC would do what Marvel did and start an "Ultimate" type line of books. Make the line fan friendly, just 1 title per character, ONLY 1 bat book, 1 Superman book, 1 JLA book, etc. Get the best creative teams on each book. Also, no secondary characters like Robin, Nightwing, Supergirl, etc.(at least for the first 2 years), just the bare basics of everything. Make Batman darker (like in All-Star B&R), not friendly towards Superman & not a member of the JLA, more of a loner. This reboot that is planned sounds like business as usual, just tack on a new #1 for everything to boost sales SHORT TERM & most likely no improvement in quality. I think the closest thing to that is DC's Earth-Two series of Superman, Batman, and soon to be Wonder Woman graphic novels. Earth One isn't it, not Earth Two...   -M |

DC will announce its plans tomorrow to comics retailers according to Bleeding Cool. I'm sure mrp will have all the reasonable analysis tomorrow afternoon. I'll be by with the teeth gnashing and flying off the handle after dinner.  |

Any guesses on the new lineup? BATMAN x2 DETECTIVE COMICS BATMAN TITLE #3??? (also possibly X2) BRAVE & THE BOLD (a Batman team up title) HARLEY QUINN X2 HARLEY QUINN & HER AMAZING ZOO CREW (some sort of Harley & friends title) BATGIRL WHATEVER DICK GRAYSON IS ROBIN CATWOMAN JOKER SUPERMAN X2 ACTION COMICS SUPERGIRL SUPERMAN TEAM UP or SUPERMAN/ BATMAN LEX LUTHOR GREEN LANTERN X2 GREEN LANTERN CORPS (or just fold everything into Green Lantern?) FLASH WONDER WOMAN X2??? AQUAMAN CYBORG SHAZAM! JUSTICE LEAGUE X2 JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA NEW SUICIDE SQUAD SUICIDE SQUAD SPOTLIGHT DEATHSTROKE TITANS GREEN ARROW That's 30 titles with 35 or more issues a month. If Detective isn't going to be twice a month, I don't see that many more titles going to twice a month. I also think that they might go 5 or 6 more to keep Starfire and Black Canary going and add some other "diverse" titles. Maybe Vixen? Not the worst prediction I've ever made in this forum.
