My hair is still s**tty, so I tried to put it in a bun this morning. It looks like a thousand times worse. Help is on the way though.Edit: I'm not very "girly", this is actually a sensitive subject for me. I'm not conceited. I hope. I should just delete this, but that's become like a self-harming tactic that I've been relying on here (on the forum) when I feel embarassed or stupid. I took out the part about me "s*cking" and stuff. Sorry. Don't delete things when you feel embarassed or stupid. Those feelings are normal and part of life, and outside of the internet, we don't get a chance at "do overs". Be yourself and try to be as happy as you can with yourself, because you're probably way more harsh of a judge of yourself and your posts than any of us would be.

George Gently had appallingly bad period detail. I have great period detail. I say "thanks for sharing", but that would be disingenuous.

I have great period detail. Me too, but I'm technically Catholic so I'm used to being ashamed of my very existence most days. I have lot's of stories, but... Help me out here Kathleen: In my case; they weren't married and it wasn't a man; but it was a May - September thing with someone with authority. Close enough. I was raise Catholic as well. No one quite knows guilt like us Catholics. And shame. We know shame quite well.

I used to be a practicing Catholic, but after enough practice I got the hang of it, so I don't need to practice any more. -M I practiced every single day for years. Never got the hang of it.

I was raise Catholic as well. No one quite knows guilt like us Catholics. And shame. We know shame quite well. I was told that people like me "deserve" AIDS and that we are "possessed" by members of my extended family when I was little; often at holiday gatherings. I have never come out to them, but they probably suspect by now (but I don't associate with them really). I secretly wish that I could send them my therapy bills everytime I pay them. Wowww. That is awful. I was told I was a b@st@rd child because my dad was not my mom's first husband, and since the Catholics did not acknowledge divorce, they did not acknowledge my dad being married to my mom, therefore they did not acknowledge me. I was a b@st@Rd. CATHOLICISM IS AWESOME.

Think cult and you have an idea of how difficult it can be to break out. I get, it, Somnolent.

And more often than not, the former bullies, even within the family, tend to slink away. I guess I'm fortunate that I never went through this.

I ceased practicing 30 years ago and became a devout atheist eventually, but can vouch that Catholic Guilt is indeed something that stays with you forever. Me culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

About me being on Hiatus from this forum is that I will be busy in Spring for 2-3 weeks and that's pretty much sums up my absence from CCF. My brother informed me that I'm needed for late March to Early April.
My Hiatus (from CCF) is postponed and many of you might be wondering about that.

Champagne smells like something one should scrub the floor with.
There, I said it.
