Another Suggestion - Is it possible(would it be a good idea) to have the City, Province/States and/or Country under the name or the avatar? I don't think it's something too personal (and anyway people don't have to put it if they don't want to) and it would be helpful for example the "Exchange" or "Free Books" thread, as I don't mind paying shipping to send books to Canada but it's a bit expensive for me for the USA. And it could also be fun to see if anybody is close to you. I like this suggestion. A cursory look revealed no simple way to do this here, but I might have some luck playing with code. Don't expect this to be accomplished right away  |

I'm seeing the "C" in classic as well as the "cs" in comics cut off in the banner.

I'm seeing the "C" in classic as well as the "cs" in comics cut off in the banner. Yep. Unfortunately, the banner only displays correctly on high resolution desktops. On lower resolutions, it cuts off. There's no board setting that allows me to compensate for this. I'm assuming there's a javacript fix, but I know nothing about java whatsoever. Someone would need to help me with this. |

The easier fix might be to just replace it with another version of the banner without the black text.

I don't want to modify his creation for the sake of convenience if I don't have to, especially not without his permission. |

How high a resolution? I have a pretty new computer and it's doing the same thing. Not that it's a big deal, just curious.

Mine is 1366 X 768.. not sure how different that is(might just be the 'widescreen' monitor). Both are widescreen, yours is 16:9 and mine is 16:10. But I looked it up and applications with specific Retina Display support, scale the UI elements but display images unscaled. Which means that, where the image inside the banner is concerned, my screen resolution is actually 2560x1600, but the size of the banner itself, is kept proportionally to what it would be on a 1280x800 monitor. It looks really good. |

Well, since we have Scott's approval (and no one coming through with java advice), I'll switch out the third banner to no longer contain text. And I believe I solved the repeating image phenomenon, so we should be good to go soon.
I will try to get to this tonight. No promises.

My screen is 1024x576.
I see the words fine, but not all of the comics. The left side shows me only a bit of Sandman and Avengers #1. The right side only shows a bit of Titans and Mystery Theatre. The side comics are completely absent.

Again, the banner is optimized for a 1280 x 1024 resolution. Thus, if your resolution is higher, you will see a blue border around the image, and if your resolution is lower, there will be some cutting off.
I am looking for javascript that will help with this, but I am way out of my league with this kind of thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
