Julie Andrews front on our left. Gary Coleman behind and between Newman and Brooks. Michael Caine third row on our left. Sylvester Stallone above Julie Andrews; Sigourney Weaver above Gary Coleman?; Al Pacino on the other side of Coleman? Harry North was no Mort Drucker when it came to recognizable likenesses. Also, Julie Andrews and Paul Newman seem more 1968 than 1982--why have them in font? Newman was nominated for best actor for 1981's Absence of Malice and 1982's the Verdict of which he was the star was very well received, so he was still in the public eye where Oscar was concerned in 1982. Julie Andrews was in Victor Victoria in 1982 which got quite a lot of attention, so they were both quite relevant in 1982. -M |

Brooks was strangled with a telephone in High Anxiety (1977) by Rudy DeLuca. That's certainly the reference here.
Faye Dunaway to the left of Stallone? Charles Grodin just above Newman. Can't place the actor above Coleman. James Woods? And the girl with the widow's peak next to Caine?
ETA: I think that's meant to be Marsha Mason on the right, not Sigourney Weaver. |
