I think there was a Warren horror story were the Catholic Cross had no effect on a vampire because the vampire was Jewish. Or am I thinking of a Mel Brooks movie? I'm sure that's not an original idea I just had Maybe it was an episode of Oy, Vampire in House of Mystery, Shmystery.

I'm thinking maybe Polanski's Fearless Vampire Hunters, but I haven't seen it since the 70s so I could be wrong. It was Richard Benjamin's Van Helsing using a Star of David against George Hamilton's Dracula in Love at First Bite. It was also used in Fearless Vampire Hunters. "Oh vey. Have you got the wrong vampire."
In the X-Men Annual where the X-Men fight Dracula, Kitty Pryde makes a cross out of a pair of candlesticks and attempts to use it to drive back Dracula. Dracula knocks it out of her hands and says it has no effect because she has no belief in the symbol. But as he grabs her, her shirt falls open revealing the Star of David around her neck and he is repelled.

Apologies for missing the vote last week but tis March break and I am a travelling soul. Religion has never been something I partake in and when I think of it, it sometimes gives me the culty type vibe. Again nothing against it, I am just all for people believing what they like and not trying to force it onto others. But for pulpy culty goodness, this is my pick!

I'm thinking maybe Polanski's Fearless Vampire Hunters, but I haven't seen it since the 70s so I could be wrong. It was Richard Benjamin's Van Helsing using a Star of David against George Hamilton's Dracula in Love at First Bite. It's definitely in the Dearless Vampire Hunters, too. And probably others. As far as Warren--did it come up in Shaxper's Doug Moench reviews?

It's definitely in the Fearless Vampire Hunters, too. And probably others. It certainly was. In my zeal to name-check Richard Benjamin, I stated that more definitively than I should have. It's merely one of numerous examples. Thanks MDG and Foxley.

Phil Maurice because of the jazz hands joke. Prince Hal gets an assist for the joke.

Some great covers and some brilliant out of the box thinking but I'm going with Farrar.

Farrar as well, though Phil M's is a close second. Prince Hal's selection was in the running for a great concept and design.

It's interesting to me that romance covers have done very well here of late. So much so that the past couple of weeks I've scanned various romance titles first, trolling for covers. But for this week, based on design, artistry, and applicability, I have to go with the4thPip.
