I have played like every night this week. It's getting a little addicting. I have two beasts done, and have stopped the Goron beast but have not done it yet. Gerudo is the only one I haven't done anything on. I've spent most of the week doing side quests, getting rupees, upgrading armour and stock piling materials for food and potions. I pretty well prepared and may try the Goron beast this weekend. If I play tonight I may do a few other things. Maybe try to defeat some Hinox, as I need Hinox guts for a armour upgrade. And I have yet to face a Lynel and I know I'll need the drops they have when defeated.
I also got excited when I accidentally pushed Y on the gamepad in my inventory and it automatically sorted my materials. I never knew that. Also I saw on one of the loading screen hints that you can use material as bait on the shorelines to lure fish in and catch them easier.

Defeated my third divine beast. Only missing the fire one now. I also got the master sword. Its still great fun. I am going to wait with the last beast beast for a while and just explore and find some more shines. I am thinking I might spend some more orbs on stamina now since I only have spend 8 orbs on that so. I got to a full second stamina wheel and then almost never fell short again, so I would second that. Once you are there, just keep a few stamina potions on you and you should be all set. Seems like a plan. I just might do that.

I have two full wheels. Yeah I wished I would have concentrated more on my stamina wheel early on than hearts. I so far have ate swimming, rolling after being hit, in my hand glider and while free falling. I feel like there might be no instance short of not having enough time to hit pause that you can't eat. So massive amounts of hearts early in the game aren't a big deal. (And depending on when you do the Zora beast.) Stamina however you need to do almost all the time and the only help you get outside of stamina upgrades is your Rito beast gift. I think now I am just going to get my final heart to get 13 and full upgrade my stamina before I do any more hearts. I've only done like around 50 shrines so there are plenty more to go around.

Since Final Fantasy 7, I have not let a game eat up my time and life up until BotW. Good grief I can't stop!

I've owned it on Steam for a few years, but was never in the mood for it, but right now it his the spot like whoa. It makes sense as I'm a little burned out on third party beat-em-ups and have played enough shooters I could use a break. Their hybrid real time/turn-based combat is pretty appealing, the medieval fantasy story and setting is appealing, and it's Bioware. I loved the Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic games back in the day, and this is a more modern version of those. Right on the money.

I haven't played Origins, but I did like Dragon Age: Inquisition. There were some really cool environments in that game. I'm still playing Prey, and it's still excellent about 20 hours in. Anything you guys are hoping to see at E3 this week? I think Dishonored 2 DLC will be announced.

I read a really interesting article ( here) on Eurogamer today about landscape design in games. It's neat to see how much thought goes into making game environments seem like real places.

I think it's appeal is everytime I play I have something to do. I still have two sets of armor to buy and three sets still to upgrade. I whittled my side quests down to two yesterday because one was lengthy and the other is getting the 100 restless crickets. But I still have quite a few shrine quests besides the other shrines I haven't even found. Plus I didn't realize the Test of Strength guardians respawned with blood moons so now I have them to repeat to harvest ancient parts. There is still just so much to do. Yet I still find myself getting distracted when I do decide to do something and that eats up a lot of time. But I'm really liking it. I even tried it on the gamepad for more than ever had before so the kids could use the 360. I've not played a Dragon Age game. But your description outside real time turned based (I prefer ATB turn based) sounds cool. I'll have to check into console availability. Even if I didn't like it my son probably would. He likes the series Skrym is in. And played Shadow of Mordor a lot more than I did. (Which I need to get back to when I get done with BotW)

Holy crap! Dishonored DLC announced for September! {Spoiler: Click to show} And Daud is in the trailer! I'm really excited! Edit: Maybe it's not DLC. Is it a full game? I'm not sure. Either way, I can't wait!

Wow. That was unexpected. Skyrim for Switch will have motion controls. No longer on the fence for that port. Unless they really mess it up there will be at least 1 way in which Skyrim on Switch will be better than BOTW.

Its not what I want when I game. Sure some stuff might be fun for a little while like wii sports, nintendo land or mario party but mostly its just not something I like. I am going to make myself a raspberry pie soon so I can play older games with out having to pull them put from my closet. I am likely going to do it when I feel like I am done with BOTW which I am still enjoying.

A bit more information on the new Dishonored content: It's a standalone expansion, not DLC. The title is Dishonored: Death of the Outsider.I'll put the rest in spoiler tags, just in case, although all of this information can be found in the trailer and description: {Spoiler: Click to show}Billie Lurk is the protagonist. She and Daud are working together to kill the Outsider. That's a really interesting idea for a story! Before the trailer, I was unsure of whether bringing Daud back was a good idea - his story in the first game's DLC is pretty much perfect as it is - but I think this is a really cool story idea that makes perfect sense for the character.
I think I'm even more excited for this than I was for Dishonored 2.

Okay, I still don't have a value case for the Switch, and I really don't have motivation to play through Skyrim again, but I have to admit this is pretty cool.

Gameplay footage for Insomniac's Spider-Man game: link. It looks quite similar to the Arkham games. I am a bit worried about how much of the gameplay was either cutscenes or quick-time events.
