Yeah, I should mention I didn't past kid Link my last time playing OoT. I also prefer the visuals of WW to OoT by a wide margin, so there's that. I haven't played Mask of Majora (or whatever it's called), because I watched my ex play it and the timed aspect really soured me.
I wouldn't even be considering a PS4 at this point if not for the fact that my PS3 and TV both seem to be on their last legs. I figure when one finally gives out, I'll just upgrade both.
edit: And, of course, FIFA 15.

I finished The Last of Us a few weeks ago. Great game. There is a collectible comic in the game called "Savage Starlight", which you can find issues of as the game progresses. The comics are for a delighted Ellie, your young female companion. Looks like a real comic as the backs of them say published by Dark Horse, but no such luck. Still, I thought it was a nice touch. September is going to be a great gaming month, beginning with Destiny.

It had some positive aspects, and a lot of the masks that you could get had awesome powers with them, but most of them were late in the game, and other than playing around with them after you got them, there wasn't a lot of replay value to the game, than, like most Zelda games doing any side quests or games that you hadn't done before. WW's graphics are almost the winning aspect of the game, if the game itself weren't so danged good too. You mentioned it on Wii U, is there like a remastered version or something? Being that I have a lot to still play, and the game still hangs at the $40 range, I have plenty to keep me busy, but I do want to play this at one point. It's a third person shooter and I have heard almost all good things about it.

Yeah, there's an HD remaster. You can buy it on disc, or there's a Zelda Wii U (it just black with some squiggles on the pad) that comes with a download code for the game.
I spelled code as "coad" while typing this post.

So my six year old is now addicted to Final Fantasy I. It is so amazing coming home each day to have her greet me at the door and beg for us to resume the quest. We get her nightly reading out of the way first (Wizard of Oz -- L. Frank Baum original version) and then play away into the evening. I have roms of ALL the Final Fantasy games up to V, so we should have quite a road ahead of us

Yeah, it really is a great time. The characters and story are interesting, and it pushed the PS3 hardware to the limit in a pretty good cous de grace. There is a PS4 remaster if you go that route. That's something you can enjoy together for years.

I recently downloaded the remastered version of Fable for the 360. I've played Fable and Fable II, but I had to get this after seeing the screenshots and after readin the reviews. I need to hold off on downloading any more games for my hard-drive, though. I still haven't played Skyrim, even after buying the game and all the DLC...

I'm largely biased to third person shooters, which seem in the big picture quite rare, with great exceptions like Dead Space, Dark Sector, RE, Army of Two and GoW to a limited extent. (The first one was a great game, but the story only kept me playing. As far as the gameplay itself the first one is about the only one I revisit unless my son wants to play the others.) So to hear another third person shooter getting accolades is good enough for me to give it a try.

I bought Batman Arkham Origins and Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix. Two more games I'll never get around to playing.

Microsoft backed off on the online only thing. You still have to go online once a day to authenticate, but it's up to the game publishers to decide if they want to require you to be online to play. The trade off is that the thing where you were able to share games with people without them having the disc has been eliminated (maybe just for now?). I'm not sure if you still have to pay to watch Netflix, but that was definitely one of the dumbest things about the 360. The only complaints I heard of after the uproar over the required online thing died down was something about that motion control thing (can't remember the name) being on all the time and something about it mining information (but that seemed more like paranoia than anything). Everyone should just make their lives easier and get a PS4. Sony is awesome!

You do have to pay to watch Netflix, but since you essentially have to have the XBL package to do anything, everyone is going to have it anyway.
I'm going to miss free online gaming now that Sony is charging too.

Play co-op pretty sure no, unless it's something you can do splitscreen. I don't know much about Halo. Download games I'm not so sure about.

Local offline coop split screen, which every Halo to date has offered. My biggest concern is needing a live account just to play local coop. If I can do that offline then I'm good on that end.

I'm pretty sure I read Microsoft was backing off requiring the pay account to use Netflix. They may have reneged. I haven't been following since I built my gaming computer.
