So after 8 years, the much anticipated Sega Genesis beat-em-up title Paprium being worked on by Watermelon games finally surfaced

I've been wondering about buying Ghost of Tsushima, so a couple of days ago, I watched a gameplay video of the beginning. Early on, the gamer was trying to choose between a black, white, or gray horse. Being a child of the '70s-80s, I immediately thought, "If you want to ride, don't ride the white horse." AND NOW I CAN'T GET THAT SONG OUT OF MY HEAD! AAAGH!

So I decided to take a break from Warframe and have been playing Zelda Breath of the Wild again for the past few weeks. I really didn't remember how much I enjoyed this game. It can be a nice easy paced game where you can do just about anything you want, and have fun. Or you can solve (sometimes real brain twisters) some shrines, or take it to the enemy and fight. With the shrines I like that there is multiple ways to solve some of them. I remember having to look up how to get a treasure chest that I could see but couldn't figure out how to reach, and I watched the uploader on the youtube video and he went about solving the shrine a different way than I did. Sometimes finding new ingredients and then experimenting with cooking can be fun. Actually cooking stuff that you would actually eat. Sorry mushrooms, I'll never use you unless I'm at the brink of death and you're the only food I have.
I also reinstalled Rise of the Tomb Raider. I played probably half way through years back before I got distracted with Warframe. So I am going to tackle it again when I am done with BotW. I really enjoyed the first Tomb Raider remake and I enjoyed the aspects they changed with weapon upgrades, etc with RotTR so I think I will enjoy it.
I still have Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night to play, and I really should stay on it. I keep getting roadblocked by enemies/things as I forget how out of practice I am with 2D side scrollers. The last I played I was trying to pass a boss. Maybe I will try it out again this weekend and see if I can advance. Outside of that factor, I still enjoy the game and am glad I did buy it.

Greed Fall is one of the PS+ games this month, and I was really excited, because I’ve wanted to play it for awhile. Started it yesterday, and it may be the worst game I have ever played. And not in a way I could see being remedied by patches. It’s not broken mechanics or anything, either. Just horrible design top to bottom. I’m not even sure what I would say is a positive. It looks fine, I guess.

Am I crazy? Hadn't someone just posted today about a PS2?

Am I crazy? Hadn't someone just posted today about a PS2? No, that was me. I deleted it because it seemed long and needlessly in-depth
Basically I was gushing over my new PS2 slim (something that I had wanted for a very long time) that I got for a song at work. I saved it from getting scrapped because I had the cables for it at home and brought them with me the next day to test it

Been in kind of a pinball mood lately, hence why I ordered Pinball Hall Of Fame The Williams Collection after having it lost in the mail years ago. Popped in my copy of the Gottlieb collection and lost myself trying to beat Black Hole for hours

Oh ha! Thought I saw something. That is well worth bragging about! I've been playing Sekiro, the latest game by From Software, those developers infamous for crushingly difficult games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne. The combat feels SO good. The game is SO hard. But it's SO fair. Mostly. Really fun once you click with the combat mechanics.

Oh ha! Thought I saw something. That is well worth bragging about! I love the faster load times too. Still planning on keeping my PS2 fat around in case I ever feel like modding it
The only thing that I don't like about my slim is the fact that it doesn't have that on/off switch around the back that made it feel like a real computer

Yeah, I have a Slim in a drawer somewhere. The connector where my video cables go in is a bit worn, so the image I get out of it isn't consistent. Or maybe it's the cables. I have a few games I'd like to replay some day, and I don't have time or patience to mess around with emulators.

Every so often the picture will go out, but pulling the connector out and putting it back in seems to work just fine. I also bought some ones from work just in case mine ever go totally dead

Love anything to do with Japanese period dramas though Also, since I got my PS2 slim, I've been re-discovering some games in my meager collection. Namely Burnout 3 Takedown, love me a good arcade style racer and B3T might as well be the apex of the genre right next to Hydro Thunder

I hear you on not wanting to fork over a lot for a modern console, but after the PS5 and new XBOX take over market share, there should be a price drop on the PS4s and XB1. Might be able to snag one for not too much and catch up on a lot of great games for not too much money. Sony had a lot of great exclusives last gen.

It has more to do with not being particularly interested in the types of games that they put out nowadays and not so much with being a tightwad, lol

Popped in my copy of the Gottlieb collection and lost myself trying to beat Black Hole for hours Man, I played that table a TON when in came out in the early '80's!
Black Hole, Xenon, Blackout and Medusa were my favorite tables between 1981 and 1985.
Never did care for its cousin, "Haunted House". I also didn't care for Williams' Black Knight or Jungle Lord. I generally preferred the Bally and Gottlieb tables to Williams tables at the time-- Williams tables were notorious for sticky flippers-- either sticking in the "up" position or oscillating like crazy.
Thankfully, I've got a blue million different replicated tables on my Pinball Arcade steam account...this is one of them. I bought most of the table packs before they lost most of their licenses to other designers.
