I think in case of Dr. Strange, skipping the origin is probably a wise decision. Strange is interesting as the Master of Mystic arts, not as a beginning student. Only way to do his origin and have him as a master is either to do a large timeskip or do some dumb movie training montage thing where becoming an expert takes like 2 weeks.

Agree with this. Do a quick 5 minute with pompous Doc Strange, the accident, and then the trek to The Ancient One, some training, and finally him being draped with the cape and the Eye of Agamotto, and we're on to our movie, hopefully with Clea and Dormammu.

If it were up to me, the first Doctor Strange film would cover the Dormammu epic, and when Baron Mordo shows up, it provides an easy opportunity to flash back to a brief origin story.

Looking forward to Dwayne Johnson in the upcoming Shazam movie, though they haven't said what role he'll play, but I'd say probably Black Adam.

Apparently they offered him either Capt. Marvel/Shazam or Black Adam and he gets to decide which to take....

I'm not a fan of his acting but I think he could be a pretty good Captain Marvel.

I was looking through some covers for the contest, looking at some of my Deadpool comics, and seem to remember that there was talk of a Deadpool movie, with his appearance in Wolverine's movie. I mostly wanted to speculate the thought of this because the prices of Deadpool's minis and the first series are through the roof (at least by the standard of having bought most of them for cover price or less) like some of the GotG character's comics have with the movie. Am I remembering this rumor right?

Am I remembering this rumor right? Some test footage of the Deadpool movie leaked recently...and it is awesome. Ryan Reynolds is the voice of Deadpool and it's all CGI. Check it out (NSFW due to language):

Not bad. I can get on board with that. It won't have the restriction of a live action movie trying not to be a live action movie and be able embrace the chaos and ridiculous of any Deadpool comic. I'd rather Marvel spend money on this than what they have been.

Yeah, they maybe could have him play both parts, but I doubt it. He looks more like Black Adam than Shazam. Can't wait for this movie, and the comic too. Maybe DC's been waiting to roll out the comic closer to the pre-movie release buzz.

Meet the cast of the new Fantastic Four reboot: Left to Right: Miles Teller as Reed Richards Kate Mara as Sue Storm Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm SourceTruthfully I don't think I've ever heard of anyone in this cast besides Michael B. Jordan. The movie will be based on The Ultimate Fantastic Four series and is slated to release on June 19th, 2015.

I saw Jamie Bell as the lead in the TV series TURN on AMC network. And it's certainly no longer "tentative" that he will be Ben Grimm. Principal photography is over, he played the role. CGI is also playing a role as Thing in post-production...
The villain will be Doom and they're setting up Mole Man for the next one.
