Morrison JLA's my high bar. Your mileage may vary. I really never liked that run. I considered it a retrograde step, going back to focusing on the "big" characters who I tend to find rather dull. Much preferred the character centric Giffen/DeMatteis run, or even JL Detroit. See? Varying. |

Any hints as to what might be happening to Orion or Barda or the other New Gods now that the Darkseid War event is over? I don't think any New God has been mentioned in a Rebirth solicitation yet. Given Darkseid's current status and this two year linewide arc underway, the New Gods may not be around much (or at all) in the near future. Oh, I thought that was all done now. Or do you meant they're starting a new two-year event? In any case, as a New Gods reader I don't think it's a bad thing if they're absent from the DCU - that would actually be my preference. |

I don't think any New God has been mentioned in a Rebirth solicitation yet. Or do you meant they're starting a new two-year event? In any case, as a New Gods reader I don't think it's a bad thing if they're absent from the DCU - that would actually be my preference. Darkseid War is over. The event staring with DC Universe Rebirth #1 that came out last week is supposed to go two years. Of course, you will probably see at least a couple in the new Justice League movie in November 2017, so start worrying about how awful that's going to be right now.  |

Of course, you will probably see at least a couple in the new Justice League movie in November 2017, so start worrying about how awful that's going to be right now. Oh, I'm not worried - I already know enough not to expect much, so I won't be outraged or even disappointed if they screw up the movie version. A couple, though? I was thinking probably just Darkseid and maybe a few of his subordinates, but probably not any of the New Genesis characters. |

Which is a slight improvement on his status in the middle of the story. Until that gets resolved, I don't see much happening with the New Gods. |
