I could vote two separate ways
For me personally, I'd go with Nick Fury. The Roy Thomas Sgt Fury is nowhere close to what I consider bad and besides getting to Steranko's work, you're going to be surprised with the excellent run by Gary Friedrich on the Howlers. When I was reading the Marvel comics in the late 1960s, I ranked each month's books and was very surprised looking back at how high Sgt Fury landed consistently
For you, if that was who I was, I'd go for whatever was new to me. Time on the earth is short and taking it up with things you;re already familiar with can be a bit of a waste

You want my advice....Go back to Bulgaria!
Sorry, a young couple just walked in and asked about something else...
For my own selfish reasons, I'd say do the three DC properties. I'm not following the other three.
I'd certainly agree with Ish's advice about reviewing the stuff that's new to you first.
Perhaps concentrate on one or two threads until you get done or reach a good stopping point and then switch to a different thread.

I'm following the Nick Fury, THUNDER Agents, and Doug Moench threads. The others focus on an era of comics that I'm less interested in.

Time on the earth is short and taking it up with things you;re already familiar with can be a bit of a waste Actually, they're all new to me. I don't have the patience to do review threads for runs I've already pursued That being said, were I to take your logic and bend it slightly, I'd say that Doug Moench is the thread that forces me to stretch myself the most. It gets the least attention, but I've poured more work and outright research into that one than any other thread I've ever done. I take it very seriously and have learned a ton as a result. In contrast, Justice League is probably the one I take least seriously, both because it doesn't take itself very seriously and because everyone else reading the thread already knows more about the material than I do. It's fun and low pressure.

I enjoy the Thunder Agents the most because I missed out on reading the books. I admire your commitment to doing these reviews with the detail you provide. I did one review thread on the Spectre run in Adventure Comics & realized I don't have the patience to write long posts nor write any reviews beyond a 10-12 issue run.

I'd go with the one you are most interested in doing, shaxper, but being a Marvel fan first I'm looking forward to more Nick Fury reviews! Seconded on all points.

I'm honestly thrilled anyone's enjoying the THUNDER Agents thread, as that's got to be the most obscure property I'm currently reviewing Some of us are only in it for the UNDERSEA Agent issues.

I remember those! I seem to recall I wrote a piece about UNDERSEA Agent for a magazine awhile back. This place is amazing, the weirdest stuff gets brought up...

I'm really enjoying the THUNDER thread, and if you could finish the run that's one you can cross off your list. Of course you'd probably start a new thread to replace it. It is worth slogging through Thomas to get to the Friedrich run on the sarge. But my favorite is still the Moench thread. I know I don't contribute, but I'm reading and learning along with you.

It's what makes them enjoyable, even if I can not put into words the kind of passion you do when it comes to talking about something I have read.

It's what makes them enjoyable, even if I can not put into words the kind of passion you do when it comes to talking about something I have read. You're too kind. It isn's as much work as it may look like. When I first started writing reviews, they were pretty much one to two paragraph informal synopsies. Over time, as I got more used to the things I was looking for in the books, as well as what others were asking about, my style sort of began to evolve on its own. Go back and look at my very first Batman reviews. That should alleviate some pressure for you At the end of the day, if you're having fun and learning something, others are going to appreciate it. No need to put more pressure or expectation upon yourself than that.

I'll continue to vote for Superman and Justice League, for the completely self-serving reason that those are the runs I've read all of.
