Much as I love Kirby, he, and every other creative who ever lived, or will live, ar open to critique and improvement, otherwise, how would they improve their craft ?
Some of it is from a logical standpoint (anatomy, perspective, color, etc) and others are more visceral (what emotion does it convey, does it "feel right", does it impact you, and if so, positively or negatively, does it make you think, etc).

One thing I can say that Kirby did do well (though I've said it already, but now with a contrast) is that in Sif at least, (since Kirby on Thor is the most I've read of his work) he knew how to draw the body of a woman that was a warrior. Whereas other artists, those know for their curvy women (Choi, Terry Dodson, Salvador Larroca, Adam Hughes) that's all they can do is draw curvy, sexy women, no matter the context of the character. It was hard to imagine Shanna tossing up with Velociraptors and T-Rexs when Choi was drawing a peepshow gal in a fur bikini. imgur.com/a/StrGgSo there is a balance somewhere. And I have as hard of time recognizing Kirby's Medusa or Alica as pretty women as I do Choi's Shanna kicking dinosaur ass. I'm a fan of cheesecake, but, if it's all the same I'd like a balance of female warriors looking pretty at the same time, as looking like actual warriors. Makes me wonder, if it doesn't already exist, just how Kirby would have done with Wonder Woman. Small nitpick: The art you link is by (Frank) Cho, not to be confused with (Michael) Choi. And I think Cho is actually one of the few comics artists who manages to make his heroines look strong as well as sexy. Not all the time, but often enough. Here's another example of Kirby doing the same, in his own unque style, of course:

I also liked his version of Hippolyta, though unfortunately we didn't get to see much of her:

And of course Hela, who's been mentioned already:

Looks like Thor's been taking astral projection lessons from Dr. Strange.

I'm okay with his Kirby idolatry, as well. It is a very common attitude in comics fandom, and I am used to feeling like the odd man out because I don't particularly like Kirby. Well, there's at least 2 of us Brother!

To me, Kirby's art emits a strong sense of power and motion. His depiction of women reflects this as much as his male characters. So while I think quite a fair share of his female creations are beautiful, their underlying masculine component makes it hard for me to see them as sexy.
Has Kirby ever drawn Mary Jane Watson? I'd like to see his depiction versus Romita's classic depiction of her.

In defense of Kirby, it should be pointed out that by the time he was doing those Super Powers covers, Jack was blind in one eye and losing the vision in the other. Much of the problems with his art in that era are attributable to that. It also didn't help that he was insisting that his inkers slavishly follow his pencils instead of embellishing them. This was an especially grievous decision given that his inker of choice by then was the undertalented Greg Theakston. And I'm forced to agree with everyone else that Kirby is NOT beyond criticism. If Shakespeare isn't, and criticism of the Bard of Avon is practically a genre unto itself, neither is Jolly Jacob Kurtzberg. Cei-U! I summon my two cents' worth! His being partially blind explains Alot. I read recently that all the art for the Topps books had been drawn years prior and were in the drawer as ideas not yet used. Or maybe even ideas that weren't ready for prime time

I made a mistake in creating this poll. The first "Choice" isn't really a valid choice. It's just a question. Unfortunately 3 people have wasted a vote on it. Maybe an Administrator or Moderator can delete that first choice without affecting the votes of those who have already voted. Update; Just ignore the above request.

I felt that questioning the premise was a valid response.

I took it as a question of not just whether Mr Kirby's drawings of women can be sexy, but art in general. There are a lot of people out there that just can't see art as that, despite thousands of years of erotic art throughout man's history.
