Malice seemed to me a lame attempt by Byrne (and I love Byrne's FF run) to recapture the success of Dark Phoeinx, just as Claremont had tried to go back to that well with Storm in Uncanny X-Men #147.

Having them off the board temporarily and bringing them back later, refreshened, with a new team and possibly an updating of their status in the Marvel U, making them more prevalent instead of shunted to pretty much their own title, will help to elevate them to their former glory. That's would be great if they did that and I don't mind adding them to my short list of titles ... thanks for sharing that and I hope that this will happen eventually someday!

Favorite Pictures of the Fantastic FourMy favorite Pin-Up Picture and I don't know what issue it's came from but I loved it anyway! Two of my favorite Team Pictures of all-time - the best of the best! Favorite Human Torch Picture of all time. Favorite Invisible Girl Picture of all time. Double as a Pin Up of Course and I dig her hairstyle as well ... so retro looking. Favorite Mister Fantastic Picture of all time. Also double as a Pin-Up too. I just dig this picture! Favorite The Thing Picture of all time and I know it's came to a surprise to a lot of you ... but I love the charging aspects of this picture and his piercing eyes as well. Just perfect!

We'll see if it happens.
Back in the day, the FF were treated with dignity and were a big part of the Marvel U. Since the rise of the X-Men and later the Avengers, those two franchises have taken "Marvel share" from the FF.
Reintegrate the FF as THE force of super scientist explorers, kind of like a Super NASA, and defending all of us from the nasty while pioneering the unexplored boundaries.
That could be such a great comic.

Dear EveryoneThat's all I have for now with the Fantastic Four and I'm going to move onto Number 11 in a day or two. I'm spilling my beans here and it's the JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA ... last of the Super Teams and I will be spending the rest of this week and next week covering them. I will be on vacation this Friday visiting friends that I haven't seen for a while and will be gone for 3 days. JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA ... at Number 11! Lots of Ground to Cover and I consider this group the Grand-Daddy of all Groups in Comic History!

Number #11 - The Justice League of America - DC Comics Super Team I'm working OVERTIME today and I thought it would be a good idea to get a jump on things - So, having said that - Let's start now, this group is consider in my own humble opinion is the greatest group of crime fighters in Comic History! ... No, group in Comic History have the challenge to tackle the Foursome of Superman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, and either Aquaman and/or Green Lantern in power and strength alone. Not, to mentioned the brains of Batman, the Super Speed of the Flash, and when you combined that all together it's one of the most powerful groups of all time. I read and re-read Brave and Bold #28 so many times and I just read it two days ago in the dark at my home with a flashlight in my hand killing time and enjoying it very much. Everyone here - have read that story too and it's a simple story that anyone here can follow. So, let's begin our journey of the Justice League of America ... DC COMICS SUPER GROUP! My Favorite Splash Page of the Justice League of America ... it's appeared in BRAVE AND BOLD #28!BRAVE and the BOLD #28 ... Justice League of America verses Starro the Conqueror!

Dear All - In my previous forumThe Hall of Justice Forum of which Dr. (Power Guy) Poison was the Administrator of that forum and he allowed Signatures to be measured 640x480 of which it would be illegal here in the Classic Comic Forum and I made these signatures on my own using Microsoft Paint and carefully placed the pictures that I found in the internet that I liked so well and used them in this classic signatures for that forum. Here's the two that I often use there ... The bottom one measured 640x427. My most treasured possession I've inherited this old Newspaper Advertising Picture from my Grandfather who passed away when I was 11 years old and he knew that I loved the Justice League of America and this picture showing the debut of a magazine that will be hitting Newstands everywhere on August 25th of which the Justice League of America will be debuting. I don't know whether it's Brave and the Bold #28 or the some cartoon strip that our Newspaper is carrying that time. Because I've just check both Brave and the Bold 28 of which came out in March and the first JLA Comic Book that came out in November of that year of which Brave and the Bold #28 debuted. It's a rare picture and I still have it in my Safety Deposit Box at my Bank. Colors are slowly fading away and I'm keeping in that box for good. I look at it on a yearly basis and I keep a copy of it on my computer as well. BTW ... It's measured a full page of the Newspaper ... in case you want to know. That's all for today!

Best Teams of the Justice League of AmericaGOLD MEDAL TEAM ORIGINAL / THE SATELLITE ERADuring this time frame these members (not the bottom four, that was a part of the Detroit Team leading to the International Team) - it is this team is the cream of the crop and these 16 members and Phantom Stranger (of some of you consider him a member too) of which I respectfully do not endorse his membership because he is more in a honorary capacity than a member. This group has everything and literally everything that you need for a group and it's has power, strength, speed, gifted powers, and then some and that alone makes this group practically unstoppable. It's a standard that this team has and always be. How can you defeat this team - you just can't and that alone is the standard bearer for all super teams that any Comic Book Company should emulate. The only other team that can give this team the run for it's money is Marvel's Squadron Supreme - Not the Avengers and any other team that's out there. But, face it - How can one team can face the trio of Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, and Superman in terms of strength and power ... these three is too much for any team to face. Throw in the remaining 13 or 14 (if you count the Phantom Stranger) ... The Phantom Stranger is no joke either. With Batman, Aquaman, The Flash, Green Arrow and Green Lantern, Zatanna, Black Canary, the Hawks - Hawkman and Hawkgirl, Red Tornado, Firestorm, and Elongated Man and the Tiny Titan - Atom ... this group is way too much for any Villain on Earth to Overcome. It's the Best of the Best.
Special Note: The Original Members (Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Martian (Jonn Jonzz) Manhunter) were included in the Satellite Era and that's why this team is an extension of the original team. The Original Seven were the cream of the crop. SILVER MEDAL GRANT MORRISON JLAMan, this group is like a breath of fresh air and Grant Morrison brought new life into the Justice League and this is the closest thing to the Satellite Era that you can get. It's a perfect blend of Strength, Speed, Brains, and Power ... I just loved this Group Dynamics and I was very happy that Plastic Man was a big part of it! ... It's gave the team Humor and Laughter too. The only member is missing is Orion - He not pictured her in this Round Table and I'm in total loss of words of giving Morrison all the praise in the world when he started that Martian Story Line and the genius of making Batman the most Dangerous Man on Earth. He made JLA fun and having said that - I have every issue of his run and no one is taking them away form me. I was introduced to Big Barda, Zauriel, Steel, and the Huntress during this time frame and they all brought great joy in me. Grant Morrison was a genius and I wished he was writing JLA again. BRONZE MEDAL INTERNATIONAL TEAMI have mixed feelings about this group and this group was a part of the Bronze Era of Comic Book ... what brought this team down is the artwork and my serious dislike of Guy Gardner as Green Lantern sorry fans of Guy and I never, ever has taken him seriously enough. I just can't stand his costume either and the Black Canary as well. It's doesn't even scream JLA to me but its has great writing and I have been reading them in the past few months and trying to get a feel of them. This team appeared right after Justice League Detroit and it has great group dynamics and all that - but I loved Captain Marvel, Doctor Fate, Blue Beetle, and Mister Miracle in this group but Guy and the others that I really do not know much about causes me to distrust them - initially. I have to give Keith Giffen and J. M. DeMatteis great props in writing this group but the artwork of Kevin Maquire of who I consider is not the greatest in the world and I'm so sorry Maquire Fans - but his art doesn't doesn't me any justice. I loved the imagination of this group ... not the group dynamics and that alone killed my interest in this group. Note to All: I will be on a short vacation from Friday to Sunday and because of that ... I'm thinking of spending two weeks on the Justice League of America and spend more time on this because of it's rich history and their are other groups that I wanted to share my thoughts on.

I agree with your order here of Gold, Silver and Bronze, and enjoyed all those versions of the team (except the Detroit League which I jumped off of when they moved that direction - never read it - it might be great - don't know)

I know that I'm in a tiny, tiny, minority. Granted, it's not as good as Juggernaut's Gold, Silver, and Bronze medal runs, of course, but I don't revile it as other do. I suspect that Gerry Conway wanted characters in his league that he could do something meaningful and permanent with. Obviously, the writer of the JLA can't really mess with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, etc., so Conway populates his group with new characters and characters not appearing elsewhere so that (I suspect) he has more control over writing them. Not too dissimilar from what Stan Lee did with Avengers #16, though obviously that one worked out a lot better.

The satellite era JLA will always be my favorite! The stories and Dick Dillin/Frank McLaughlin art are a staple of my childhood. I enjoyed Perez's run and well as Don Heck and Chuck Patton. I lost interest with the introduction of the Detroit version of the JLA and was not a fan of the comedic JL post crisis. I did enjoy the JLA from the mid 90s, but for me the 70s-early 80s JLA will always be my gold medal team! I loved the role call each issue and the annual JLA/JSA team-ups!

The Worst Team in JLA History - Justice League DetroitPart 1 of 2In one of their earlier adventures - Dale Gunn, Commander Steel's Grandfather was sort of a Father Figure for this team and somehow in some unknown fashion both Vixen and Zatanna has hots for him. When, I pick up the Annual of that time frame and I'm not going to joke you - and it's turns out to be a joke to me and my friends at the time that I started reading this book and this is a major turnoff for me seeing these scenes while Dale Gunn on somewhat a monitor duty at the time and all the sudden these panels came up and I was shocked to see the subtlety and some romance going on with Zatanna and Dale Gunn at this time. These panels below will stunned you and I know this is a family oriented forum and I've might get in trouble by the CCF Mod Squad for posting these images below. Zatanna was trying her best to seduce Dale Gunn over a conversation over Milk and Cookies and they had some tender moments and all and that's pretty much I will say at this point and all the sudden alarms going off and everyone is up and running and trying to figure out what happen next and at this point - my memory isn't that good in this story. So, I will not get into that. What's stunning about these pictures at the time and I know that the Comic Book Authority has a Code in place and wondering how this issue got printed in the first place and having six pictures of Zatanna in a see through white sheer nightie is mind boggling to see that. Another thing about this group is a rivalry of Zatanna and Vixen over the seemingly handsome grandfatherly figure of Dale Gunn and that's no joke. This is the reason why I consider this group somewhat a soap opera environment ... Picture(s) worth a thousand words ... Right?

The Worst Team in JLA History - Justice League DetroitPart 2 of 2LeaderhipThe leadership consist of Aquaman and Martian Manhunter and they had some issues to work out and sometimes they really never seem to get along but they managed to get things done in the way they feel fit and the problems is that they needed to realize that sometimes they don't make great decisions and that's hurt their pride. The problem is that Martian Manhunter the team only member that's has Super Strength and all has to wear more hats than he chew on and this makes him very difficult to operate here. Aquaman has a lot of problems during this time frame because he was having martial issues with his wife Mera and he's trying to learn how to provide Leadership and at one time Batman was the leader of this team and eventually got out of it because he simply had it at the time that he was on the team just briefly. Good MembersThe only good members that has previous Justice League Experience is both Elongated Man and Zatanna from the Satellite Era and a newcomer by the name of Vixen. These three are basically B Players being thrust into main players in the heartbeat and that's gave this team some vote of confidence and all and that alone makes them pretty solid players on shaky grounds. At one point they even considered (I think he was a member) Firestorm and I really did not see him in this lineup and/or series. I wished they thought of other members but these three were the cream of the crop of the good members that they had. Bad MembersI never, ever liked any of these characters for two reasons alone. Gypsy doesn't look like a superhero and Vibe is a big joke to me and never, really cared about this character at all. Both of them in my mind are C Players at best and having said that I just can't imagine why in the Editorial Board of DC Comics consider these two heroes in the first place. If you have the answer to this question please tell me. I just find these two downright horrible. AlliesI was introduced to Commander Steel at this time and along with Mera and Dale Gunn - this group became a soap opera environment and couple oriented group that tickled my funny bone. What even more funnier is when they decided to throw in Sue Dibny for good (pictured below) just for the fun of it and so that Elongated Man don't have to feel lonely at all. She in my opinion a throw in for more soap opera feel. I believe during this team existence both Aquaman and Mera managed to get (I think) along and that's the rundown of the Justice League of Detroit.
