Wh plays regularly, which games are your favorites? And I'm not talking about the usual traditional ones such as checkers, chess, monopoly or Trivial Pursuit... I regularly play those : Ticket to Ride, Game Of Thrones, Carcassone, Eldritch Horror, Dixit, Junta and a few others. Ticket to Ride (the european map with train stations) probably is my favorite for a casual 35-70 mn game. Some random, but overall, good and adaptative tactical skills wins in the long run. Game of Throne is my fave if we plan to be playing a long time and are 4-6. The game mechanic is amazing, no random edge to anyone, no dices, just a lot of data to process and re-acess constantly. Junta is my all time favorite one, especially if you manage to have 7 players and no time limit, the concept is amazing, and you need to be able to "forgive"...  The most treacheous game ever! |

I like Junta and Ticket to Ride. I play/ have played a lot of military board games such as Empire in Arms, Third Reich and Stalingrad. One I play online a lot is Diplomacy. I've got a whole bookshelf of them: Agricola, NATO, Advanced Civilization, I'm set for game night.  |

I played a lot of board games in my youth ... Probe, Chess, Life, Risk, Monopoly, and dozens of others and it's a great way to get together with your friends on a rainy day!

I've played loads of board games. A bit slower lately due to my usual gaming group having spread out all over the country, but my nephew is turning 5 now and is getting interested in board games, so we're slowly getting started on various board games with him.
Twlight Imperium, Arkham Horror, Carcasone, Karibik, various versions of Risk and many more were our usual games.

A bit slower lately due to my usual gaming group having spread out all over the country, but my nephew is turning 5 now and is getting interested in board games, so we're slowly getting started on various board games with him. You should try Dixit, perfect for that age to play with adults I used to play Arkham Horror but the actions felt too disconnected from the "story", which is why I favor Eldritch Horror, same game mechanics more or less, but much better feel for the world. |

I was looking at games and saw Dixit, but age recommendations for that were 8+, so I had dismissed that. I'll check it out again (it's his birthday Saturday) |

It's amazing for cognitive skills, and to play i with kids is very interesting as their attention focus evolution throughout a game session (30 mn) might change the game in fun ways

I'm not much for board games, although my wife and I do enjoy a good round of Scrabble now and then.
Chess is a great game, but my wife is not much competition for me (which she would readily admit to), so I rarely get to play. My older daughter wants to learn how to play, so I may break out the board at some point and teach her.
And once again, Magic: The Gathering has crept back into my life, and now it's dragging my older daughter into its embrace as well.

I play board games regularly with a couple of meetup groups.
Some favorites off the top of my head are 7 Wonders, Mysterium, Innovation, Sentinels of the Multiverse, Betrayal at the House on the Hill, Last Night on Earth, Touch of Evil, Arkham Horror, One Night Ultimate Werewolf...

I'm not much for board games, although my wife and I do enjoy a good round of Scrabble now and then. Scrabble is a game that I play with my girlfriend once in a while and we both like it very much and I've to say this Captain, she usually wins about 70% of the games that we play! We usually play it on a Friday Nights. |

I'm very much pro-chess, and I am a fan of Monopoly as well, although one of my daughters got a version of it that had electronic debit cards for the banking instead of the old-school paper money, so I am less enthused about the game now. Checkers is OK too, I guess. |
