I didn't see any thread about this Marvel event. Maybe whoever is reading this mini can keep us updated.

I'm not reading this or interested in it, however, with all these multiple versions of characters and whatnot, I think Marvel is going to do it again.
You know
another universe or dimension or whatever you say
sound crazy ?
well, I don't think so
I think besides the obvious rehash with Civil War II, something else is happening / will unfold :
Marvel will pull apart the Stan Lee-verse and schism from the newer characters either both somehow staying in the same universe with separate imprints or just separate universes
You know, like the Ultimate Universe, or the New Universe, or the Next Universe or whatever
I really believe Marvel's going to try to have their cutting edge newer characters, titles, etc., and throwback series to the Good Old Days-style of simpler, cleaner, reboot-ish with the originals building off the Bronze Age where they decide to make the demarcation point, splintering from the creation of the Ultimate U or whatever.

I guess not many people are buying the Marvel events much. I was following what has been written in the various Comic news sites and they said that Rhodey was killed early on in the Mini and another big death is soon to follow. The Rumor is that the Hulk is going to kill Tony Stark.

They're going to kill Tony before murdering his entire supporting cast, turning him into a Cyborg and making him a machine elemental first? How odd. Perhaps they'll do that with his terrigen mist treated clone.
Marvel Now! New readers friendly!

I think I saw Peter Parker being happy on a cover a couple of months ago.
Spider-Man dies! AGAIN!

Don't really care for the actual main storyline but I'm debating picking up the Kingpin arc.

And just when I'm enjoying reading the retro '80s story where Jim takes over the red and gold armor from a boozed out Tony, and they kill him off in this current timeline. Oh well.

Everything about this series smells like a dumpster fire outside of a liposuction clinic. If the rumors hold true and Hawkeye kills Bruce Banner, then the last few shreds of confidence I have in Marvel are going to become even fewer.

Disney has sucked out what little soul was left.
I guess I'm getting old but they feel like pretty ciphers amid an ocean of continuity be-damned.

I keep saying this -- don't pay attention to Marvel events and the main frachise books that depend heavily on the event and stunt-driven stories. That's not where the interesting stuff is anymore. I'm currently enjoying Silver Surfer (Slott/Allred), Dr. Strange (Aaron/Bachalo), Daredevil (Soule/Garney), and Black Widow (Waid/Samnee). None of them have the slightest to do with any of the event stories (except very, very tangetially) and they are all being put out by very good creative teams.

My favorite Marvel titles right now are Dr. Strange, Moon Knight, and Mockingbird, none of which are tied into the event structure that the mainstream MU books are stuck in.

The only Civil War tie-in I'm reading is Uncanny X-Men and that's cause I'm reading that title. I'm considering picking up the Kingpin mini though.
Otherwise, I really don't care. It's a rehash of a prior event I haven't read either. Judging by their solicits later this year, our heroes will stand divided yet again. Who needs supervillains anymore?

I guess it's Disney's attempt to have the comics mirror the movies. I just don't take the comics of today too seriously.
