This looks like Jack Abel's work. Sorry man, but I only recognize Jack Abel as the inker that destroyed many a comic book for me.

What was it about 1982 that made every Saturday Cartoon have an insanely long name?

Looks like Joe Kubert to me. Interesting hood/cloak thing Vader's got going on there. Not a million miles from the hooded Jedi robes.

Awesome artist Mort Drucker Pretty sure even fewer girls were reading comics in 1975 than now, yet we see tampon ads anymore?!

Some of my favorite comic book ad art were the Halloween/horror ads. DC had a few great ones that featured House of Mystery, I believe.

Sales of romance comics (mostly to female audience if demographic numbers form the time are accurate) in '75 dwarf even the best selling super-hero monthlies now, so there were far more girls reading comics then than now, even with the recent rise in female-centric comics from the big 2. -M

Alex Raymond Ads for Flash Gordon Wow, they went to great lengths to sell batteries back in the day. I see that you have it autographed , nice.

This looks like Kurt Schaffenberger. I always liked his art. It put me at ease, if that makes sense to anyone.

I found that in the internet and with my interest in the Golden Age of Comics - I remember this ad vividly and I did not have this autographed. Sorry I used this as an example for this subject matter alone. I don't even have a copy of it.
