"Dark Water" was excellent. Michelle Gomez was fantastic as Missy. The reveal that she is actually The Master working with the Cybermen was quite good despite BBC spoiling the latter.

This scene from Dark Water triggered deja-vu and then I realised it's a nod to classic Doctor Who... 2014 Invasion 1968 invasion...this is one my mom would have been watching when she was a kid

I liked the first part of the season finale with one huge exception that almost spoils not only this episode but the entire season for me: the writing in the opening scene with Clara.
I mentioned a while back how much I grew to dislike Amy Pond because of the "emotional blackmail" the writers had her repeatedly indulge in. Well now they've done it with Clara too, because this is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about.
Clara knows as well as anyone can the consequences, in the fictional Who universe, of going back in time to undo Danny's death, but demands that the Doctor do exactly that because ... she loves him so much. To hell with everyone and everything else, her love for Danny takes precedence over everything, entire timelines and universes and the lives they contain can, must be destroyed, if that's what it takes to bring back her boyfriend.
No conception of duty, of responsibility to others, of concern for anyone else - all that's left to the Doctor. Clara's just another hysterical, distraught female who can think no farther than her own emotional needs, in this case her grief for Danny, and damn the consequences to anyone else.

Who says romance is dead? I was just wondering why she thought throwing out the keys would matter when both she and The Doctor can open the door with a snap of their fingers.

As a side note, does it annoy anyone else that the Cybermen look like Tony Stark built them these days?

Honestly I don't see a difference between various incarnations of the Cybermen (well, the cloth version of the earlier Doctors definitely looked different).

Honestly I don't see a difference between various incarnations of the Cybermen (well, the cloth version of the earlier Doctors definitely looked different). The differences in the new series are rather subtle, when they first came back the stomach plating didn't wrap around into a solid piece and there was a visible, wiry looking body glove between the joints and the face plate looked more skeletal and slightly more menacing were as the more recent look is all "metal" with no difference in texture at the joints and the face is more rounded and features a blanker expression. And I deffinitely see a more iron man look to the new ones where as the previous ones had a more robo-cop look.

I think it's the circle on the chest plate and the face that screams 'Iron Man' to me... though that pic there the face plate is a bit different than the last time I saw them... I like it, actually
Edit: Comparing with the picture Jez posted.. I think it's just the lighting... that one they are very Iron Man-like indeed!

For me it's the ribbing on the stomach and the thighs that makes it look the most like iron man, but yeah the circle definitely adds to it.
The picture jez posted is the new look while the one I posted is the old.
