Dunno how I missed this thread. My vote would've been for Gold Key based purely on my love for Manning's Magnus, Tarzan, and Korak (I consider them super-heroes). The Charlton characters are okay, especially Captain Atom and Blue Beetle, and I like Ditko, Pat Boyette, and Pete Morisi but, like Slam, I prefer the gang at Tower.

Gold Key: Doctor Solar - Man of the Atom, Doctor Spektor and Magnus, to name a few. Inventive, fascinating heroes not at all like anything from DC or Marvel, and I found them far and above Charlton's heroes.

Charlton forever, if only because Sinistro: Boy Fiend is one of my single favorite issues of anything. Much better than Gold Key, all mincing around putting on airs with their fancy painted covers and decent production values and coloring done by people who weren't drunk.

Thank you!
Honestly, even in the '60s I probably prefer Dell for hero-types. Kona and Brain Boy, especially, are some of my favoritest.
