Right now...
1. Guardians of the Galaxy(exceeded way beyond my expectations of what I thought they would do) 2. Avengers 3. Superman: Man of Steel 4. Captain America: The First Avenger 5. Captain America: Winter Soldier
Looking to see the they stay true to the heart and soul of the characters, definitely needs action, a little humor.

In no particular order, and off the top of my head:
Spider-Man 2 Hulk (yes, the Ang Lee version) Dark Knight Avengers Captain America: The First Avenger
I have to say, as someone who grew up with the 1970s TV versions of characters such as Wonder Woman, Hulk, and Spider-Man (and witnessed the horrors of later live-action attempts at the Fantastic Four and Captain America), these are pretty good days for the live-action superhero (notwithstanding some DC-related misfires).

Serials are still motion pictures.

Any list I would compile would have to include The Rocketeer and The Phantom. I also would want to figure out a way to include the Superman TV show with George Reeves. I guess I'd make one of my choices Superman vs. the Mole Men. Haven't seen Winter Soldier, but very much liked the first Cap movie (directed by Joe Johnston of Rocketeer fame, so maybe not a surprise). I would also have to check which came first, but certain serials, like T he Perils of Nyoka, aka Nyoka and the Lost Tablets of Hippocrates, aka Nyoka and the Tigermen) would be there, too. Quick check: Nyoka made her comic book debut after the first serial, Jungle Girl, so no go.

My list would include the 1940's Captain Marvel serial Mystery Men (1999) with Ben Stiller and Janeane Garafolo

I have a strong leaning toward new movies, and sometimes get too enthusiastic about the most recent movies I've seen. It's possible that in time and rewatching, the 2014 films will be lower on my list. But right now I think several of the best superhero movies I've ever seen come from last year.
Current list: 25. Iron Man 3 (2013) 24. Hellboy (2004) 23. Blade (1998) 22. Dredd (2012) 21. Thor: The Dark World (2013) 20. Batman (1966) 19. Men in Black (1997) 18. The Crow (1994) 17. The Rocketeer (1991) 16. Superman II (1980) 15. Superman The Movie (1978) 14. Batman (1989) 13. Spider-Man (2002) 12. X-Men (2000) 11. Batman Begins (2005) 10. X-Men: First Class (2011) 9. X2: X-Men United (2003) 8. The Avengers (2012) 7. Big Hero 6 (2014) 6. X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) 5. Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) 4. Iron Man (2008) 3. Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) 2. The Dark Knight (2008) 1. Spider-Man 2 (2004)
And to balance it out, the worst I've ever seen (#1 being the worst): 25. Steel (1997) 24. Punisher: War Zone (2008) 23. Man of Steel (2013) 22. Superman Returns (2006) 21. X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) 20. The Incredible Hulk (2008) 19. Superman III (1983) 18. Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987) 17. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993) 16. Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD (1998) 15. Justice League of America (1997) 14. TMNT (2007) 13. Elektra (2005) 12. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) 11. Batman Forever (1995) 10. Captain America (1990) 9. Blade: Trinity (2004) 8. Generation X (1996) 7. Man-Thing (2005) 6. The Fantastic Four (1994) 5. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003) 4. Green Lantern (2011) 3. Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007) 2. Batman & Robin (1997) 1. Fantastic Four (2005)
I have not seen Catwoman.
EDIT: Very pleased to see that 4 of my "worst" list made people's "best" lists.

Big Hero 6 is not out here yet, but Days of Future Past, Winter Soldier (missing from your list, you haven't seen it yet or didn't think it was very good?) and Guardians of the Galaxy were all solid movies. Of your worst list, I only liked Incredible Hulk of those (but it's a schizophrenic movie). I love that first part in Brazil with Bruce Banner dealing with making a living, finding a cure, evading the military and controlling the Hulk all at the same time, but really disliked the movie once it moves out of Brazil, so it wouldn't end up on my best list. Spider-Man 3 would be on my worst list probably before this movie. Also I'd flip some of the numbers around, but that's minor.

It would be in the top 30 had I continued. Spider-Man 3 would be in the bottom 30. I found more to enjoy in it than I did in Incredible Hulk. Both were things I wanted to like. I thought Ed Norton COULD have been a good Bruce Banner, and perhaps would have been in a better movie.
