Does anybody here know anything about headphones? One of the plugs on my headphones broke and I need to replace it or them. The headphones I have are just some $50 Sharper Image things, but I'd rather not replace them since I just got them a couple weeks ago. I see some cord options in the $5-10 range on Amazon, but I've got no idea if they effect sound or how much. I'm definitely not an audiophile (until these headphones I listened to music through my Macbook Air's speakers), but if it's going to make the headphones sound like crap (or even lose the stereo sound) I'd rather just buy new headphones. return them. they will have a warranty no?

There is nothing on the box about a warranty and no papers inside.
I guess I may be able to return them to the store, but I'm pretty sure they're going to say I need to deal with the manufacturer.

From what I've experienced the cord doesn't really effect the sound. I had a headphone extension cord, one of those $3 ones direct from China. It didn't work that great, you constantly lost either the right or left channel, and had to wiggle the headphone jack into the extension cord to get it working again. It happened so often I just never used it. Then I saw Monster made a headphone extension cord, so I bought it. It was like $20. Worked exactly as well as the $3 one, and that's it. I hate headphone jacks.

Nice weather today here. Sitting on the porch with a beer and cigar and listening to Beethoven. I envy your highly alcoholic weekend

I read about what happened with that Titans cover but I never imagined it would spiral into Doing a "Crisis" on Cbr. Not to start a long thing on the Crisis but I wonder how much of the reboot was legally motivated. When I read one of Asselin's complaints about the threats, I got the distinct impression that she had only received a lot of garbage on her online survey forms. I'm not saying she never voiced more extensive complaints elsewhere, but Wieland's announcement was the first time I'd read that some creep even tracked down her home address through her online presence. I personally would have found it absurd had CBR been legally implicated in some way. But stupider cases have made it to court.

My Free Comics Haul-- a lot of new Valiant stuff offered, but I only picked up the MANOWAR one. TITANS GO. Something called ARMOR something. A nice BUCK ROGERS reprint. ROBYN HOOD, which I got a giveaway of last year-- nice art; slender story. Couple other things I can't recall.

In fact me and boys got back from a couple mile walk. We stopped at a convience store. My oldest got a Gatorade, my youngest got an Icee and I got a 2x4 Coors Light. In a state that hypocrites alcoholic consumption I love public drinking. We walked another mile while I drank my beer.

Had a cool moment today. My godson had his first communion, and as part of his present, I gave him about 50 old comics. Some of them were duplicates from my collection, and some were things I picked up yesterday from the $1 and $.50 box at the LCS; they were mostly Avengers-related books from the '80's, Iron Man and Cap and Thor, with a few FF sprinkled in. We gave him $50 in his card, but he seemed way more excited about the comics, so maybe there is hope for the future

They've got a pair for $150 and the reviews are good, but they aren't noise-cancelling and man $150 for headphones seems so outrageous.

Took my girls to Free Comic Book Day today and had a blast. My six year old is finally old enough to be getting excited about comics, which makes this a total blast! After we got home from the shop, we bagged and boarded her acquisitions, re-organized her 96 book collection, talked X-Men for a while (she's been watching the '90s cartoon with me), at which point I gave her my second copy of my favorite comic book of all time (X-Men #153 - yes, I'm waiting for the taunts) and wrote her a dedication under the indica on the first page. Then we snuggled and watched Return of the Jedi. Kind of a perfect Daddy Daughter Day. That's my three year old on the left. Adorably mischievous, even when she's doing nothing wrong
