This is the first time in years I paid 3 dollars a gallon.

Well, you could be paying about $6/gallon, like over where I am.

So what you are saying is we have to buy up all the scotch to make room for the cheaper scotch? So not just an excuse, but we have a responsibility to buy more scotch is what I am hearing!
This is only cabinet #1 plus the partial contents of cabinet #2 in front... trust me, I'll make room for more.
All empties I presume 🤪👍🤯🙃

Has anyone noticed that gas prices are slowly creeping up? It seems that it has gone up 10 cents each of the last 3 weeks. Yes, as it inevitably seems to do once the weather begins to warm up. (Spoken as one who lives in a tourist-dependent locale.) Not to mention loosening Covid restrictions on travel.

All empties I presume 🤪👍🤯🙃 Ummmm...NO. These ain't designed for chugging or cheap mixed drinks. Taken neat with a splash or two of distilled water, or if you prefer, ONE ice cube made from filtered or distilled water. 🥃 anything else would border on sacrilege. If you want a Rob Roy, Rusty Nail, or want to taint your scotch with soda, I'll break out the Famous Grouse, Dewars or the Johnny Walker. I keep those on hand for unappreciative palates.

Yes, as it inevitably seems to do once the weather begins to warm up. (Spoken as one who lives in a tourist-dependent locale.) Not to mention loosening Covid restrictions on travel. It started in January and also reflects lots of state tax increases on gasoline which went into effect at the beginning of the year. Most states tax rates on gas need to get renewed year to year in state legislatures, and incremental increases in rates to generate more tax revenue for the state are often part of the renewal process and is almost an invisible process because it rarely gets any kind of local or national media coverage. Gas prices are increasing anyways, but in some areas seeing sharper increases, it's due to local and state tax increases. People just assume the gas companies are raising prices, but often it is the local government causing an increase on top of other increases. -M

First jury trial in over a year starting in about an hour after the Supreme Court said we could finally start trials again. Not just the first trial in eons, but also a Lewd Conduct trial, which are never fun. I'd have preferred something a bit easier to work back in to the grind, like a simple possession or a burglary. Y'all have fun the next few days. Never mind. Settled as we were about to start jury selection.

You must be disappointed. Not even a little. I enjoy trying cases but sex cases are never fun.

I drive so little anymore I hardly notice. I haven't gone into the office since last March I think, and the few places we go are mostly within a few miles.

The only time anything should be added to Scotch is if you are drinking cask strength Scotch and have to add water. Otherwise, you are ruining good Scotch. Of course I haven't had cask strength Scotch since celebrating completing my Master's thesis with my thesis advisor who brought it back after spending a semester in Edinburgh a few years before that.

As it properly should be. And that truly is a beautiful and magnificent showcase. A burglar would be hard pressed on what to take 1st? Your comics, your guitars or your alcohol or whatever hidden treasures have yet to be shown. Though I am quite certain your security measures would deter most!

Though I am quite certain your security measures would deter most!I'm not saying that it isn't possible, but I assure you that a casual burglary attempt would be most foolhardy... aside from our own prevention measures, my immediate neighbors on either side of our property are quite like-minded in security issues, and we watch each other's backs, especially on extended absences. On top of that, if someone were stupid enough to attempt a break-in while we are home... well... did I mention that my wife is a professional firearms instructor?
