Good to hear, but now I am curious what specific book you are on the hunt for. -M Conan the Barbarian #14, with Elric. After having a good think about it last night and checking prices for it on eBay, I've decided I'm just going to buy the second Conan Epic Collection so I have the story rather than keep hunting. Beat-up copies (things I would almost NEVER put in my collection) are $25 or more, while Fine copies push $75 or more. I can use an Amazon GC I got from a former employer and get the Epic for less than $30, which also gives me the option of selling the othet books in that collection (except the Red Sonja appearances, because I want to keep those). Then I have something nice and portable to take with me to read on vacation or to sit out on my deck, rather than worrying about the floppie. That's a good choice! Another option, more pricey but probably not overmuch, is Giant-Sized Conan #5, which reprints CtB 14 and 15 (minus a page or two). It also has a Jack Kirby cover, a rarity for a Conan book! edit: Nostalgiazone has a vgf copy going for ten bucks, which gives us an idea of what the book is currently worth.

Meanwhile, my son and his girlfriend came over Saturday night and we sat through the 4-hour Snyder cut JLA film.
Worth seeing if you like that sort of thing. I've never been big on live-action comic films, but I can't say that I want my 4 hours back. It was enjoyable and I was entertained.

I don't have to go to the movies. Those 2 overweight beeyotches work in my office and they fight over the same man.

Second dose of Pfizer is in my arm. My wife gets her second this week, too. What a relief.

I recently received an insulting email by a student who calls me unprofessional for disparaging the anti-vax movement... in my immunology class!!! Needless to say, despite the sting of the rebuke, I'll get vaccinated as soon as I can... which means later this week.

Sounds like the student hasn't been vaccinated for infantile (mentality) paralysis either.

Such is life. They really do that? I suppose they just want to conform to the manufacturer's directions, but since both the J&J and the Pfizer vaccines target the Spike protein, I'd expect one shot of each to do pretty much the same as two shots of either.

Are they doing just one Pfizer up by you, RR? Moderna is two shots here, too.

the J&J shot has been put on hold in USA by the CDC as they investigate a few cases of blood clots, and if they are tied to the J&J vaccine.
the chances of an issue are still minuscule, but still better safe than sorry. Moderna & Pfizer use a different process to manufacture, and don't have this issue. so glad they just moved you to a different supplier instead of cancelling.
odd they are saying 2 weeks tho. . timeline between Pfizer is supposed to be ~3 weeks (and ~4 for Moderna)
