Just got back from selling most of my vintage rpg stuff to my friend the con organizer. He ended up buying all the trades and loose comics I was going to dump off at Half Price Books as well for more than I would have gotten from them. Essentially sold everything for what would have been two weeks take home pay, comps tickets for the next year of cons he does and a free table at one of the shows to sell more stuff when I am ready, which I am more than satisfied with. Did sell some old book and DVDs at Half Price as well, but ended up using that money to pick up a couple of things while I was there. I basically replenished was con war chest for the summer. so all's good.

Sometimes I feel like I could sell my stuff to homeless people for more than Half Price pays, but I do like that they take absolutely everything.
My good streak of selling without buying ended on my last visit, though. They had a very nice edition of Le Morte D'Arthur, copiously illustrated by Aubrey Beardsley, in a hardcover and slipcase that are both black with gold designs, for about $15. I'm only human.

So today at Walmart I noticed that they brought back Pepsi Blue and was instantly transported back 20 years to when I was 11, first drinking it from a soda machine at the local YMCA. While the taste left a little to be desired, it was nice to see an old friend return

While the taste left a little to be desired, it was nice to see an old friend return I'm so old that I apparently missed this twice in my lifetime. What the heck is Pepsi Blue? Now Pepsi Clear I remember, and (to a lesser extent) Coke II.

Super excited about today!
This afternoon, both of my daughters and I will be going to an outdoor comic book convention. This is the first time my younger daughter is going to one of these shows with me, as she has started to discover her "likes" and wants to see if she can indulge any of them. My older daughter has gone to three shows with me previously and was really bummed when COVID canceled the entire slate of them last year, as she was hoping to attend more with me.
Funny thing is, there isn't really anything I'm actually actively searching for today, so more just hoping I run into things by chance. It's more about just going, being with them, and doing something the three of us can enjoy together, as I'm anticipating they will each spend more money than I do (or more accurately, I will spend more money on them combined with the money they spend on themselves, than I will spend on myself).

I loved it when I was younger

They really need to bring back Pepsi Summer Mix though, because that was great.

I remember having Pepsi Blue once or twice when I was in high school. I liked it at the time. I also liked ketchup at the time. *shrug*
I'm sad I never got to experience New Coke.

I've regaled you folks with story before, but I used to absolutely love Hostess Fruit Pies. But then I had one as an adult and almost went into a coma from how absolutely overloaded with sugar it was
I've heard people say that New Coke just basically tasted like Pepsi. History Channel's "The Food That Built America" stated that it was basically Coke but sweetened in a way similar to diet coke(?)
I was born many years after it's release and never had much of an interests in it or Crystal Pepsi

A place for small talk and any other discussion that doesn't require its own thread. Ok just joined the forum. I am Flintquail. I just unboxed my childhood collection, bronze stuff, and I found some really clean and currently hot comics. I looked into cgc for poss. getting them graded. The diff. in worth is big from a 8.0 to 9.8. As I read into it, they get 3% of estimated worth for the top end walk through grading. Is it me or would that not lead to a desire to grade them higher in these cases. It just seems too easy to make more money by grading rare titles higher. Let me know what you think. Again I am new. I need to sell what is hot , I need the money. Do I get them graded or sell them just bagged for less? Thanks!!!

Pepsi in general is 🤢 But Coke vanilla orange could be the worst thing I swallowed since the first time I ate mayo.
