I check facebook , used to check CBR. I did today since they changed Pip's deal (check the Comics and Collected part there) . I now check in at Bleeding Cool since I moved over there as well. Then I come here. I will log off and get some work done soon . Gonna go see Amazing Spider-Man 2 at some point.

Here's a question for you all: what (if any) is your morning internet routine? Generally, I'm ONLY online at night, after I put my kids to bed. Obviously, since the new site's gone up, I've been making my time here a higher priority. I'm hoping to be able to return to my normal priorities sometime soon, but first I have to get all my old content copied over. |

I check FB then the CCF board. (It used to be CBR, but you know).I have 2 email accounts which I never check because I usually communicate with my FB account or by text. I never, nor have I ever played games online.

Online routine -- check my fantasy baseball team's performance from the night before, check this place (formerly done for the CBR forum, of course), check email, check Facebook, check Baseball for the Thinking Fan, check MSN.com to see if the world ended while I was asleep. Rinse & repeat throughout the day, with work duties interspersed when unavoidable.

That's what I do, and I have to say that it makes for a far more memorable experience. I still remember, a few years back, when I sat down over the course of a vacation to play Final Fantasy I from beginning to end. It was an actual experience, not just something I fit into my life. I treat novels the same way. I read comics anytime, but I set aside real purposeful time for novels. That's another good idea. I've been considering only reading comics and short-story collections during the week, and if I'm not in the mood to play games, read some of the novels I have backlogged on my off days. If I want to every read Marvel's Silver Age and Batman from 1979 till the early 90's (inspired in part by your Batman thread) before I die I'm going to have to prioritize this way. I also get some comic reading done on my lunch break at work. I take my tablet with me and I can knock off a couple of books. Marvel's digital copies of the $3.99 books are really helpful for that. |

Here's a question for you all: what (if any) is your morning internet routine? I usually try to check emails before I leave for work--hate surprises. At work, I respond to any critical emails and/or send things out to people. Then, as I have breakfst, I'll check Fcebook, Mark Evanier's blog, the Bleat by James lileks, and do the comic cover puzzle on the Atlas Archives. i usually didn't check the classics board 'til mid-morning or lunch. I almost hope this one doesn't stay as busy as it's been--didn't check it most of Friday and yesterday and am hopelessly behind. |

I check in here whenever the thought comes to mind, about like I did at CBR. I occasionally do a hit and run post on Bendis' boards but not often. There so few of the people I knew when I started there that are still posting or not become intolerable to me.

My morning internet routine switches around a bit, depending on what sites I'm into at any given time, but lately it's been like this: check out some Wordpress blogs I follow, check my e-mail, check a non-comic-book-related message board I'm a member of, all the while streaming some radio station on surfmusic.de. I tend to go to CBR and CCF later on the day, preferably between 6 and 8 PM Central European Time.
On workdays, I don't go online in the morning, not even on my smartphone which I've only owned for half a year now. Have grown used to the idea of not having constant access to the net, and those old habit die hard.

I summon one of my "finer" moments! I'd totally forgotten about that! Actually, what's slowing down the process the most is that I feel strongly about preserving all of our epic debates. I just got through the Len Wein one. It's not possible for me to preserve ALL the commentary, but there are certain discussions that are simply worth capturing. |
