We still have sun and 70s here, and it got up to 84 both Saturday & Sunday. The rainy season usually starts here at the beginning of October. The forecast at this point says that the rain will finally start Friday night, the 21st.

Here in NY, it's 60's. But We get the change to cold weather suddenly most of the time.

I got a message from my publisher this morning informing me that, due to reasons beyond his (or my) control, he new book has to be completed by February. Therefore, Richard Arndt will be coming aboard to finish the 1947-49 chapters from my notes. We'll be credited as co-authors. You might think I'd be upset about this but I'm actually relieved. Trying to manage the assignment while dealing with all my health and mobility issues has been extremely stressful. Frankly, I'll be glad to let it go. Once I've wrapped up the '46 chapter, I can turn my atgention back to my currently-in-limbo history of western comics. So it's all good.
Cei-U! I summon the necessary change in plans!

We had our first real cold snap last night. It's currently 34 deg. F here this morning. Because Tennessee is usually at the bottom of the Jet Stream trough, is sometimes (but rarely) colder here than it is in the NE corridor.
Thankfully, that's not a trend, and the daytime temps will gradually rise back up to the mid-70's by Saturday.

«The sun rises, and the sun goes down, and hastens to the place where it rises. The wind blows to the south and goes around to the north; around and around goes the wind, and on its circuits the wind returns. Only one thing remains constant: the weather forecast is always wrong.»

Wow, I just realized something while listening to the Eagles song “ Lyin eyes”. The women who is cheating on her husband is lying to both her husband and her lover.

Make it a female. We had a returning mouse problem up until we got three cats. Two brothers and the sister. And she was actually a like too sadistic in catching mice and there were many times I would take the poor half dead thing from her and put it out of it's misery.

Cats are great. The mice smell the cats after a while and stay away.

Cats are great. The mice smell the cats after a while and stay away. Not in our house! I think the mice are bribing my cat. I am ruining myself buying mouse traps, and my cat naps! She's lucky she purrs...

Well, crap.
Back in August, my sister injured her back unloading me from her car after my staycay at her place. Yesterday she finally went to her doctor after admitting that "powering through it" wasn't working (remind me to tell you sometime about how our mother traumatized us as kids about getting sick or injured so that all three of us procrastinate when it comes to doctors). Turns out she actually cracked a vertabra. Yup, I broke my sister's back. (That part's a joke. She doesn't think that at all.) Today she has a phone conference with her doctors to determine what's next. Things are gonna get dicey around here if she frequires surgery, as there's currently nobody readily available to fill in for her during her recuperation. *Maybe* my pal Dino a.k.a. Dr. Cyclpos can come over and stay with me but that wouldn't be either Kay's or my first choice. But I'll do whatever it takes to make sure she gets the treatment she needs.
This should prove, um... interesting?
Cei-U! I summon the eventful week!

Oh wow. I hope surgery goes smoothly and recovery proves even smoother. Is there any way your sister can use the injury to prove that you should be provided with an assistant?
