You didn't miss much. New CBR is cracking down basically due to fear anything could be a bad negative right now. Welcome Polar Bear.

You didn't miss much. New CBR is cracking down basically due to fear anything could be a bad negative right now. Welcome Polar Bear. So for fear of having a negative, they created a negative, eh? Not the first time that's ever happened. Sounds like a lot of presidential campaigns, in fact. Such cheery talk. Let's see: the seniors I taught this year are about to graduate; I'm back into role-playing games, specifically Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space; we're still homeschooling our six kids, now ages seven to sixteen (with the oldest accumulating hours on his learner's permit towards his driver's license); and we're all in good health. The bad news is, the missing Doctor Who episodes I'm waiting on still haven't been announced, but that's all right, I don't have the money to buy them anyway. Phil Morris and the BBCWW may as well wait until after I've paid off my mortgage, right? Plus, I'm so incredibly thrilled that Fantagraphics is reprinting the complete Don Rosa duck stories, I'll even forgive them the Doctor Who thing for a little while. I've most recently been reading Kirby's 2001 and Machine Man. That's some brain-tingly stuff, lemme tell you! I've also been watching The Prisoner (complete series) and The Six Million Dollar Man/The Bionic Woman (just highlights). Great stuff, but in completely opposite ways!! Okay, I've run out of exclamation points, so it's time for me to stop. I'll be around.

Sorry to hear you got banned, fuzzyblueelf. These days, its tough to decide what to post on CBR without getting banned for the smallest things.

Um, hi, guys. I see I missed the big dramatic ... everything. Looks like a lot of pain and suffering was involved. Sorry for what went down--glad I found you after only a month had passed, actually. Glad to see you all. I'll have to fix that avatar once I'm off mobile... I look like Machine Man, not Polar Bear... EDIT: There, that's better. Yay, Polar Bear's here! The place wouldn't be the same without you, old buddy! Cei-U! I do the happy dance!

Welcome aboard Polar and Fuzzy! Have a drink while you think of things you can say and not get banned. Ooops wrong place.

Uh, why does my avatar say Teen titans? Shaxper is trying out a new ranking system today. See the New Ranks thread in the Help Desk section to voice your opinion.

It's funny: I've been spending more time on the Classics forum since we jumped the good ship CBR than I can remember spending in ages (Classic Christmas time excepted, natch) despite the demands of my Alter Ego assignment. The break has, I guess, reinvigorated me. Anybody else experiencing anything similar? Cei-U! I summon the renewed enthusiasm! I think most of us are kind of renewed, and it's always good to see what you chime in with, Kurt. And dang if I don't love me some Steranko too. I met met him years ago. Fascinating is an understatement.

I think the phenomenon is pretty wide-spread. The amount of activity occurring here on a daily basis is simply staggering.
Oddly enough, in contrast, I think I've been posting a lot less. This just won't feel like home to me until I get all of my review threads moved over, and that hasn't been easy work.
The guy who started this place being the one who's least comfortable with the new place? Score one for irony.

I'm more active here too. It has something to do with the fact that this place really is ours, not just our corner of somebody else's playground.

I have Comic Book Collecting group on my facebook and its insane at some stories happening if true. One guy claims someone ripped up a copy of a Daredevil issue in front of him and his friend back in the 1980's. Due to the friend offering $1 dollar less than marked due to a crease in the corner. I don't think I can top that in terms of assholish behavior from LCS people. Speaking of LCS stories any plan to restart your Silly Fun Comic stores thread? That was a fun thread and I enjoyed reading about peoples experiences. None of my trips to comic shops were ever as eventful though.

I'm just freaked out that Shaxper has all these invisible posts and threads out there waiting to appear when the moment is right.
Captain, there's a Batman thread decloaking off our port bow.
RED ALERT!
