Sorry man. I guess too much of anything isnt good. Mate even a drought here is nothing compared to the extremes you guys endure, the area I live in ranges from 0-33 degrees (32-90 ), we have had a smattering of snow once since I've been here(8 years), and at worst its a month or so of HOT, and a couple of months of frosts. Im just thankful I dont have to live, work, and drive in snow, endure Hurricanes, Tornadoes, or all the other cool weather thingies you have. Keep it. Thats the American dream I dont want. I have nothing but empathy for the hardships you get, so as useless as it is, Im thinking of you guys. It's 8:30 am in NYC and the leaders have egg on their face. No blizzard and city shut down. I'm glad. They are saying around 10 inches, far less than the 24 they were predicting.

We're doing great in Wisconsin by comparison. We got snow too, less than 2 inches. The company that I do computer support is headquartered in Mass, so they're closed today due to snow. So far, it's made for a fairly quiet morning here. Nobody working, nobody breaking computers.

State of emergency here so no school. I don't know how much snow we've gotten already but it's been snowing at least 18 straight hours so I'm gonna say a lot. Yeah, here in Plainville we have like 18 inches but there are some pretty big drifts...and we're supposed to continue to get an inch an hour until later this evening, so we're likely top out around 27 inches.

It's been freezing here in Atlanta, though I assume you Northerners chuckle at thought of someone complaining of weather in the upper 30's.

Now It Can Be Told Dept.
Last October, Roy Thomas invited me to co-author not one but TWO volumes in TwoMorrows' American Comic Book Chronicles series, one covering 1940-44, the other 1945-49, that should hit the bookstores sometime in 2016. If you haven't seen the previous volumes, these are beautiful hardcover books, meticulously researched and lushly illustrated, and I'm going to be working my ass off to ensure my contributions are worthy of the format. We haven't discussed how we're divvying up the workload yet (Roy's elbow deep in writing the definitive biography of Stan Lee at the moment) but I have a ton of books and comics to read in the interim.
Figure on me being less of a presence on CCF for the next year or so... and wish me luck!
Cei-U! I summon the humongous career boost!

Plainville huh? Yeah we're probably having fairly similar weather, that's only about 25 miles from me. It's crazy man.

It's funny, I'm in Illinois near Chicago. You'd think of all places, we'd have been dumped on. But we've barely got half an inch of snow here.
But there's ice under that snow, so it's a little more dangerous than one would think. My assistant fell out of her car yesterday (second time this month she did so) and landed on her elbows. She's okay, but she'll be bruised up.

North of Worcester, we're up to about 27 inches so far.

Congrats, Kurt! You and Roy are an awesome team!
Here's hoping that the snow doesn't overly inconvenience anyone. I talked with my mom in Southside Virginia yesterday. She's halfway between Richmond and Durham, NC, and they just got rain. Here in Portland, the temperature has dipped below 40F the last couple of nights, and we've had a lot of fog. I'm so glad I don't have to shovel fog.
