I've never seen that one but some of the ads here keep causing Shockwave Flash to crash. Is it the ads? It's happened to me a few times in the last couple of weeks but I didn't know if it was site related or just my computer.

Firefox decided yesterday it wouldn't run Flash until I updated it. I've been enjoying the break from all the ads hanging up; but I will probably cave soon and update it so I can watch youtube. I wish they would include an easy option to just turn flash off or on, but Mozilla eliminated that option about a year ago.

I'm not big on plugins. Is it any good? Does it take up a lot of CPU or RAM?

After shoveling out snow at work for a whole shift today I came home and passed out for like two hours and I had the weirdest dream of my life. In my dream, don't ask me why, I was a Native American and I looked like the one from the Indian in the Cupboard movie might have looked like if he were a kid. Yeah I don't know why I was a kid either but I was, but it gets weirder as I went to set out on a vision quest and went hiking up a hill surrounded by giant pine trees. All of a sudden a giant bear jumped out at me and as I ran from it I tripped and rolled down the hill...and out of "reality" and onto a concrete path where I learned I was actually and unknowingly a feature in a zoo.
Then I woke up.

I'm not big on plugins. Is it any good? Does it take up a lot of CPU or RAM? It actually saves you CPU and RAM because (almost) none of the ads show up, so flash, java etc won't start. I find that browsers run much more stable with ad block plugins.

I run adblock. I believe it was recommended to help protect against viruses.

Thank you everyone for all the kind words and thoughts! It is really appreciated. Things are settling down a bit now so I thought I'd check in. My wife is fine! Here's the story: A year ago she was diagnosed with having a brain tumor right at her brain stem. We went to Stanford to get a second opinion, and it turns out it was an arachnoid cyst, which is a fairly common congenital disorder. The only concern was if it enlarges or not. Recently she was having aches and pains all over her body, as well as a strange heart pain. We took her to the ER and her heart was fine, and her neurologist had another MRI done. Our primary care doctor reviewed the MRI results, and told us it looked like the cyst had enlarged. At that point we were very concerned and went back to Stanford. They showed us the two past/present MRI's side by side, and there was no evidence of any enlargement of the cyst. My wife is a very light sleeper, the smallest noise wakes her up, and she has frequent anxiety attacks at night. She is also a teacher in Special Education. So her symptoms are likely stress related. She hasn't experienced any aches or pains the last few days and is going to try a medication to help her sleep. We are frustrated at the local doctors, one of them still insists she has a brain tumor. But I believe Stanford has some of the best doctors and that is who we choose to believe. Thanks again guys, and especially a big thank you to Coke & Comics for taking on the Front Page. Excellent job by the way! I was certain my wife was in trouble at first and my whole world changed. I could not think about anything but getting the best help for her. I accepted a new shift with more hours at work and have been busy taking care of our two girls while my wife gets some rest. But I'll be poking my head in here a bit more as things return back to normal.

I know nothing hits harder than when it's a loved one who's in danger. And nothing's better than finding out they're ok.
