Bacon tastes great although it's very bad for your health. Life in general is bad for your health so I try not to worry about amazing things like bacon

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacon_mania: "Bacon mania refers to passionate bacon enthusiasm in the United States and Canada. Novelty bacon dishes and other bacon related items have been popularized rapidly via the internet. The movement has been traced to the 1980s and 1990s when high-protein foods became a more prominent diet focus due in part to the Atkins diet. Since then, bacon focused events and gatherings celebrating the food have been reported and bacon related exploits have been featured in media accounts."

Bacon's one of those foods that I like when I want it, but I find it unfathomable that people want it on everything. Kind of like Ranch. Ranch is okay (Blue Cheese is better) but I don't need to dip everything I eat in Ranch. I do like bacon on my pizza with anchovies and black olives. I'm just not sure about whole slabs of bacon wrapped around the crust. Clearly there are some things bacon and ranch don't belong on and people have been going overboard putting them on everything. The foods they don't work with are, however, in the minority. If I liked Little Caesar's pizzas (don't care for the sauce), I'd give their pizza a try. I've even had maple & bacon frosted cupcakes, which were actually pretty good. But then I was enjoying both bacon and ranch long before they were cool. <Insert bacon/banana joke here>You're wish is my command...not jokes but lots of bacon banana mash ups to make your mouth water? bacon wrapped bananas.... Nutella waffle bacon banana breakfast sandwich.... French toast w/bacon and bananas... -M

Bacon is my favorite of the breakfast meats, but I have no need for it with lunch or dinner. If we're putting a breakfast food on everything I'd prefer egg.

Fried eggs are too rich for me. I don't know why, but scrambled are much easier for me to get down. Or boiled eggs. I love those.

I need to try poached eggs, especially eggs Benedict. I dunno what holindaise (sp?) is but I f***ing love English muffins. But the classic sunny side up fried egg is the best of all eggs.

Just putting this pic up. No particular reason... Thanks. It's been a long time since Dan put up a banana picture. I was oddly starting to miss them. But making them look like dolphins doesn't keep them from being evil. Dolphins ARE evil. And rape-y. Or so I've heard. I cannot really say from experience (thank GOD), but it's what I've heard from people who work with them/have worked with them.

If you don't know hollandaise, how do you eat your asparagus? Steamed in white wine with shallots or garlic? oh god, you people are fancy here. I just steam it, use a tiny bit of butter, and I sprinkle a very small amount of dill on it. Simple and delicious.

If you don't know hollandaise, how do you eat your asparagus? Im a typical American pip, I don't eat vegtables except potatoes. ;-) Truthfully I don't eat much vegtables unless it Asian food, particularly Japanese, as somehow they make vegtables a part of the dish without making it seem like your eating them. Not sure, how but they do.
