Veggies are awesome. We're making zucchini carbonara tomorrow. I got a nice grater for my birthday that can turn veggies into spaghetti-like shapes, which is awesome for low-carb diets.

The problem I would say with what I would consider most American foods, is vegtables aren't a part of the main dish they are portion served with the main dish. Whereas other cultures whose food I've eaten, Asian, Italian, Scottish, the vegtables are incorporated into the main dish. It's not that I hate vegtables, with the exception of mushrooms, I just don't think vegtables stand on their own very well in the taste and texture department.

My kid wants Captain America OR Daredevil converse sneakers for his birthday. I can only seem to find them in the UK, though. Anyone know somewhere I can find them in the US?

Let me guess... you boil all of them? Other than my mother's home made stirfry she steamed most vegetables that she cooked for us kids. Outside of the it was just cooked canned corn or green beans in a saucepan on the stove.

Having got sent to the grocery store in the bad weather we are having here, ice earlier a few days ago that didn't melt, now about 2-3 inches of snow and still coming down I realized people are jackasses. There is at least two things you can do to be responsible about when driving in hazardous road conditions so as to not be a useless _____. Stay the f**k off your phone and clean off the front, rear and side windows of your vehicle so you don't kill someone you careless f**k! [/rant]

If they're just laying there, then it's pretty bland. And canned really aren't great. It takes a little work, but fresh vegetables can be tasty. I like fresh green beans and saute them in soy sauce, and a few other things, and they turn out great.

Thanks. It's been a long time since Dan put up a banana picture. I was oddly starting to miss them. But making them look like dolphins doesn't keep them from being evil. Dolphins ARE evil. And rape-y. Or so I've heard. I cannot really say from experience (thank GOD), but it's what I've heard from people who work with them/have worked with them. Uh, those are not Dolphins , my dear coldwater, they are bananas..

I've been renting and downloading CDs from my local libraries recently and am now working on comedy albums. I've heard of Dane Cook but never actually heard his material. They have 4-5 of his albums available. Opinions anyone? I got no problem with x-rated comedy so thats no issue

When he hits, its very funny, but when he misses for me, it is change the channel bad. -M

Emerald City is the same weekend as our local Gem City Comic Con-you guys got all the good creators this year, as we were left with Rob Liefled and Greg Land as the guests of honor....we did get Peter Bagge, Herb Trimpe, Arlen Schumer, and Martin Hirchak though...
Unfortunately I am not going to be able to make Gem City this year.

He strikes me as the guy at the party who thinks he's holding court, but really everybody wants him to shut up.
