I consider Pizza Hut to be the pinnacle of fine dining. I'm not even joking. It's my favourite restaurant ever and I get childishly excited about visiting one of my local Pizza Huts. It's like a mega-treat for me. Working there must be a drag though. I can see that. Hang on in there dupont2005.

I guess I'm too understanding then. With probably 10 customers in there and two guys working may be it's not their fault. Not a single customer walked out of there without being offered complimentary pizza or bread side that was ready before they left. I can understand feeling slightly unconvinced by unexpected delays but there's just too much stuff available in this country too quickly for people to feel as entitled as they do. I want probably 20 minutes quietly and patiently and went home and ate. The manager just about wouldn't let me leave if I didn't take a free pizza. Maybe I just can't fathom any reason why 10 minutes is going to throw your whole life off. Sorry for the rant.

I consider Pizza Hut to be the pinnacle of fine dining. I have a friend who's a psychiatrist. I can give you his number if you would like.

You forget, he's across the pond, Pizza Hut could be something different there, or considering the stereotypes about British cuisine, Pizza Hut could be a step up.... -M

Actually, this did cross my mind too. I mean, it's a fast food chain over here, yes, but man, it's some good pizza. Not as authentic as proper Italian chains over here like Ask or Prezzo, but it's damn good food...especially for "fast food". It's about a million miles from the rubbish that McDonalds and Burger King serve. Oh, and the unlimited salad bar is to die for. Man, I'm hungry now.

But the international adverts I see don't look like good food. The hot dog crust pizza and the weird octopus pizzas of Asia and the Middle East

Pizza Hut in Australia is very bloody ordinary indeed.

Pizza Hut doesn't beat some of the more authentic Italian restaurant type pizzas, but compared with competitors in their niche (Papa Johns, Dominos, Little Caesars, etc), they are, in my opinion, head and shoulders above.
Taco Bell I would give a solid "ok". Sometimes I willingly eat there. Most times we end up there it's because our daughter coerced us. She'd eat there almost every day if she could. I can't figure out what we did wrong in raising her.

Even something as simple as Taco Bell I tend to appreciate more when I eat it with less frequency. As for your parenting skills DE, I think they're just fine. There are a lot worse indications of bad taste than Taco Bell. :-) As for fast food pizza, we have Mazzio's here, I don't know how big of a franchise they are, as I never saw them when I lived in St. Louis but they are about the best for pizza, when considering price too. My kids actually prefer Little Ceasar's and with it being the cheapest pizza out there, I am more than happy to buy it for them. Feeding two boys is never ending task.

I used to like Pizza Hut, but I eventually just couldn't eat that much soaked-up grease with a smattering of flour and cheese. For the major chains I prefer Papa Johns by a mile. Little Caesar's is pretty good with the hot and ready and being so inexpensive, but I don't think it's quite as good as it used to be in the 90s. It might have been the local one at the time, but Dominos was painfully mediocre the last time I ordered delivery. It felt like half-assed thrown together store bought crap.
I've been abstinent from CiCi's buffet for I think 12 years now, and I doubt I would willingly go back without a lot of coercion.

And I can't stand the Papa Johns sauce. But, as they say, tastes vary.
I'd rather eat cold grocery store frozen pizza before going back to CiCis. Sure, you can eat all of it you want, but I can't make myself want to eat that stuff. Nasty cardboard with some questionable stuff thrown on it.
For pizza you pickup and bake at home, we have the Papa Murphys chain here (don't know how widespread it is). Their chicken garlic alfredo stuffed pizza is delicious. One pizza makes two meals for the four of us.

My parents had to feed three boys. And take us to the emergency room, and buy toys and sports equipment to keep us occupied and not killing each other, and try to keep us out of the creek at the bottom of our property, etc. Which the costs are part of the reason that the only pizza I ever saw as a kid was from a Chef Boyardee box. You had to mix the crust powder with water, pour on the can of sauce, and sprinkle the little packet of parmesan cheese on top. Sometimes I really feel sorry for them because it can't have been easy.
