TY so much all  ... situations right now are difficult atm my dad's health issues have been acting up bad lately he got some meds from his doctor though. |

Because his nails were painted light blue? Or he stood out as one of the freakiest due to other reasons? The nails were just part of the reason - he had long hair, lots of jewelry and exotic clothes - a rather androgynous look. Google found some pictures of him:     From Wikipedia : "Bodē's death was due to autoerotic asphyxiation. His last words were to his son: 'Mark, I've seen God four times, and I'm going to see him again soon. That's No. 1 to me, and you're No. 2.' 33 years old at the time of his death, Bodē's ashes were dropped from a Cessna airplane over the waters off the coast of Point Reyes." I read in an interview years ago that he killed himself in front of Mark. While I like his stylized work, I can't look at his work without remembering that. So sad for them both. |

The outer appearance gave theater to a lot of inner turmoil, which was mixed into a life of wild sex, fetishism, drugs, cross-dressing and dangerous experimentation. Killing yourself in front of your child is certainly deeply troubled. Im not trying to come off callous but that's a greater sign of insanity than genius. It's a strange contrast that always is mentioned with those with artistic talents but rarely applied to those geniuses with intellectual talents or practical skills.
