Thor on a pink scooter that's something that Icctrombone can be proud of. I was chuckling when I saw that scooter that looks like Lady Thor can ride on ... remember her?  Interesting so there was a female Thor before to is this from the silver age ? |

Only an hour and change to go, but 2016 isn't done sucking big time! I just drove five and a half hours to get to the bedside of my mom in the emergency ward. It's either a new bout of the infection that kept her on intravenous antibiotics for three weeks in early december, or a brand new infection. Whatever be the case, she's in terrible pain and I hate that. For crying out loud. It's irrational to be angry at an arbitrarily defined length of time like a year, but... I am. Really sorry to hear this Raider. I would feel the same way if that was my mom. |

I understand what you are going through and I felt the same way about my Mom in a different light of things four years ago and we are here to support you and wish you and your Mom have peace together ... I just don't know what is right thing to say that we all here to offer our support and guidance. |

Well, this is awkward. My sleepy little smalltown has made it into the news bulletins on this final day of the year, on account of a good number of houseboats going Tower of Pisa :  This is the result of a serious drop in the water level of the Maas river, which was caused when a big barge damaged a weir several 20 kilometers downriver. They're still assessing the damage. I know the holidays can put you off-balance, but this is silly. Yikes! I know the Maas from when I go to Venlo... we have a direct train from Wuppertal to Venlo, so half the town goes there when there is a national holiday in Germany that is a regular shopping day in NL. |

I have 2-3 inches of snow fell in the past 12 hours and another short round of snow expecting in a few minutes; I'm stuck at home for the next few days; and I hope to get to the store on Tuesday and/or Wednesday. I live on a hill and it's very difficult to get out of that place when you have any amount of snow. I'm thinking of moving out in Fall to find a better place to live and I have several options to choose from. |

Thanks for the kind words, people. She's back in her own bed, now, and the pain has abated even if the other symptoms haven't. It wasn't Clostridium dificile as I feared (her having been in the hospital in december), so that's pretty good. Fingers crossed!
