Obviously this is kind of big, but not as big as a detached retina ! That happened to my father-in-law. Not pretty, and he had to wear a patch for months. My sister asked if I was going to have to wear a patch, I said, "No, but I think I will anyway. It goes with the hook and pegleg. Aarggh !" "Git yer car wrapped or it's to the plank with ye !"

Good thing the docs caught that, hondo! Take care of yourself, and try not to use your eyes much for the next few months. The patch is good for that - you can rest one at a time. See how long it takes for anyone to notice that the patch isn't always on the same eye.

Wow. I don't know what seems crazier. The fact that scientists and doctors are going to use fricken LAZERS to blaze shut a hole ion your fricken EYEBALL, or the fact that there are SO MANY PEOPLE ahead of you in line for this that they can't do it for six months!!! What a time to be alive.
Wishing you a quick and speedy recovery, Hondo.

That's nasty, hondo. Hope the condition won't worsen until you get the surgery. Curious that it had gone unnoticed up till now.

I have never been able to find a thread using the search engine on this site. Neither have I. I use google and several keywords unique to the CCF.

I was watching the Simpsons episode with this clip in it. Now I want a Good Morning Burger. It comes with complimentary heart attack.

I have never been able to find a thread using the search engine on this site. It can be challenging but I have managed it a few times, usually by using the username of the thread starter or someone I know posted int he thread as one of the sorting factors. -M

I have never been able to find a thread using the search engine on this site. I don't bother with it. I use Google Advanced search instead... www.google.com/advanced_searchJust put in your search words at the top, put classiccomics.org in the site or domain field, and bingo! It works pretty well for me. I used to use this method for the CBR forums too.
