I would just call Homeland Security and declare myself to be an undercover agent of ISIS. The government would then take care of all the small details regarding my disappearance and future lodging. Which might be on a tropical island.

Which might be on a tropical island. Precisely! Where you would frequently be treated to nice, loud music and fancy facials.

Just glad he's okay. We had to put down our cat last week, and it started with the same symptoms. Give him an extra long ear scratch for me today I'm really sorry to hear that, Shax. Losing pets is always hard. I'm very much an animal lover and am sorry to hear about both of these unfortunate events. Hildie, the remaining miniature schnauzer Susan and I had together, is with her in Oklahoma. I wanted to take her with me but wanted Susan to keep her if she wanted, which she did. Crashing at my parents' place for a couple of months while I get back on my feet and get ready to move to Des Moines. They're not pet people. Was missing Hildie and looking for breeders online last night. Looking forward to getting a little one back again. Traveling two states I'm gone about half the time. My plan is to take her with me when I have a lot of road time and sleep over at a pet-friendly hotel. When I don't do that, I'll have a retired couple lined up in my neighborhood who'll watch her when I'm gone and will pay them instead of a kennel. She gets two homes, the couple gets a little extra cash, and I know she's in good hands when I'm gone. Thinking of German names now.

During the winter months my facial skin get really dry. And what exacerbates that condition is my love of taking long hot showers. Moisturizers can be expensive, have a medicated smell, only fix the condition temporarily. Reading a few columns on line I found a few agreeing to the use of natural olive oil. Saves a lot of money, no chemicals involved and has been used for hundreds of years as a moisturizer by the Mediterranean people. So I tried it earlier and it really seems to work well. And there is always a use for it in cooking too.
The only side effect so far is an urge to watch some Popeye cartoons

How could I, the pudding-meister, not know that pudding was a moisturizer. And that olive oil pudding was the ultimate skin care product

Apparently, olive oil helps certain populations outcompete S. aureus on our skin (and in our nostrils, in that particular case), thus reducing the risks of infection. The Romans used to use olive oil to wash themselves before soap was invented. Maybe they were on to something!

This past Sunday morning, I let my two dogs out in the backyard to pee. When the little one ( Chihuahua) came up the stairs he was limping. As the day progressed, he started to scream when he moved and whenever I picked him up. We finally took him to the vet yesterday and discovered that he hurt his neck while climbing the stairs. The Doc gave us anti-inflammatory meds for the little guy. He also told us to carry him up and down the stairs because he's 70 years old in dog years. Just glad he's okay. We had to put down our cat last week, and it started with the same symptoms. Give him an extra long ear scratch for me today I'm so sorry for your loss Shax I know how hard it is to lose a pet/family member .
