I know you guys are probably tired of hearing about my job hunting woes on the MMB, but you'll be happy to know that those blues have finally ended. I just received an internship offer from a HR and risk management consulting firm, as part of their benefits division! I'll be in their Atlanta office for the summer, so I don't have to stray too far from school. In the midst of a bout of flu and sore throat. The medicine I'm taking for it really knocks me out. Have slept 20 hours within the last 24. Had one very strange dream. I dreamed I was the manager to a cabaret act named the Florence Sisters who toured from city to city. But there was only one person in the act. She would always make up an excuse at the beginning of the show why her sister was not with her. Somebody needs to make this happen. That's some funny stuff right there. |

Anyone have any experience with background checks for jobs? How long do they usually take and how extensive are they? There's no simple answer for this. Depending on the type of job you are applying for might determine the extent of the background check. Plus there are different state laws concerning the areas of backgrounds allowed to be checked. |

My new studio/gallery opened to the public this weekend and I managed to sell 6 pieces. The next step is opening an online store and expanding my buyer base.
I think there might be something to this whole "working artist" business after all.

Hi everyone hope your all doing good. I found out my dad has a hole in his eye which seems to be healing somehow didn't someone here say they had the same thing can't remember who it was. His eye is still scratched some though. But I think now it's getting better.
