I don't really buy new floppies any more but I made a couple exceptions recently...
Moonshine by Brian Azzarello & Eduardo Risso: A miniseries about illegal liquor running, and werewolves.
Shadows on the Grave by Richard Corben: Horror anthology in the spirit of the old 50s comics, complete with goofy host/narrator.
I like 'em both so far.

We had some free Amazon money so I picked up the first 2 volumes of Paul Levitz & Sonny Liew's Doctor Fate series. I am curious to check it out.

I've been buying that Corben series too, but have read only the first issue so far. It's good, though.
This week it was Cinema Purgatorio #9 and Skybourne #3, which I just posted briefly about in the thread for this week's comics. Both enjoyable, though I should have waited for Skybourne to be collected, like I was going to, instead of buying the individual issues. Cinema Purgatorio has 3 really good regular features (written by Moore, Ennis, and Gillen) and 2 others that don't feel up to the same standard to me. Three out of five isn't bad for an anthology series, I suppose.

After watching the first episode of iZombie the other night, I decided I should try the comic, especially as Mike Allred is one of my favourite creators. Luckily, Comixology have them all on sale for 50% off!
I downloaded the first tpb. If I dig it (and I'm sure I will), I'll grab the rest before the sale ends.

It's really completely different than the TV show. And keep in mind it was truncated when Chris Roberson blew-up and left DC.

I loved Chew as well...though I thought the ending was a bit weak. The Flintstones is so much better than it has any right to be. Based on the first trade it may be my favorite currently running comic. I need to read Black Hammer.

I love Criminal soooooo much!! I've heard nothing but good things, and I've really enjoyed Brubaker/Phillips' other work, so it's about damn time I got started on this one. I loved Chew as well...though I thought the ending was a bit weak. I hate when that happens. Anyway, I'll see what I think when I get to it. The Flintstones is so much better than it has any right to be. Based on the first trade it may be my favorite currently running comic. Even if I hadn't seen a single panel previously, it would've had me with that opening spread of downtown Bedrock. Who ever would have thought people would be this excited about a damn Flinstones comic? I need to read Black Hammer. Me too!

I got Providence #1 and #2 in the mail today.
And also Birds of Prey #24, #30 and #31. The New 52 incarnation. I have the first 20 issues and I decided to start working on #21 to #34.
(And I also got Detective Comics #415, but that's a comic for another thread.

Read the 'Death of Hawkman' mini today.. decided to wait until having the whole thing before I read it.
It follows the 'Justice League United' series, with Rann and Thanagar once again heading towards war, and Hawkman and Adam Strange teaming up to prevent it. The bad guys is one I like, so that was good, though I don't love the New 52 version of Hawkman, it was still a pretty good story, even with the title being a spoiler.

I took advange of a sale going on and ordered a, for me atleast, pretty big order, The two last Captain America omnibus by Brubaker and absolute Batman incorporated.
I bought the first three cap omnibus several years ago and loved them somits great to have the final two. Although now I am wondering whether I want to reread the others first before I read these two. Decisions. I also already have Absolute Batman and Robin by morrison already. Really hope they do the rest of his run in absolute to.
