I picked up the last Bru Cap I needed and look forward to getting around to them.
Have all the Morrison Bat and will read them all through chronologically, though I did read Batman Inc and Batman and Robin with Dick and Damien.

I started reading the first one yesterday, the issues that take place right after Steves return, and they are certaintly enjoyable so far. I have all Morrison to in various collections, single issues- Hardcover- TPB- absolute, but I would likento have it all in the same format. Or atleast most of it.

I'm pretty sure these all count as 'Modern', being less than ten years old:
Usagi Yojimbo Saga vol 7 Godland Vol 2: Another Sunny Delight Nailbiter vol 1: There Will Be Blood (I don't think I've read a single page of this, but I hear it's good, so what the heck) The Goon Vol 6: Chinatown And The Mystery Of Mr. Wicker (this shop got an entire set of Goon tpbs in a while back, and I've been picking one up every time I go in) Headspace (never heard of it, but it sounds interesting, and it's a complete story/series in a single volume, so again, what the heck)

I'm working my way through Usagi Yojimbo right now
Need to get caught up on Saga but was delighted to find that the daughter I turned on to Fables has now found Saga and really likes it.
Gonna go back to re-read and complete Godland. All kinds of crazy Kirby-ish OTT there.
I too have heard good things about Nailbiter. Think I picked up the first collection but haven't read it yet.
The Goon - Have read most of it and enjoyed it, but not as much as I thought I would.

No no no, you misunderstand. I got Usagi Yojimbo Saga vol 7, ie the great big reprint editions that each contain three tpbs worth of issues. Saga is great, though. The Goon - Have read most of it and enjoyed it, but not as much as I thought I would. It took me a while to get into it. It started to get really good, for me, around vol 5.

I got three seperate orders in the mail yesterday. Yay! One was the recent Spider-man event "The clone conspiracy" The second was Dan Slotts entire big time runs in 4 collected editions tomreplace the single issues for space reasons. The last was the final hardcover of Sweet Tootch by Jeff Lemere. As much as I dont like his art style on superheroes I love it on his own work and characters.

I heard his style described today as, "His characters all look like they've been punched in the face eighteen times, and they're very sad about it."

The thing is a lot of his own work are stories featuring characters in bad situations where it makes sense that the looked like they've been punched in the face. Somtimes literaly and sometimes just by life in general.

Yeah, of course. It wasn't meant as a criticism.

Bought the Flintstones after hearing so many rave reviews about it. Read it last weekend and so far all reviews seem to be right, I really enjoyed this.
Also working my way through an Image Humble Bundle I bought ages ago. If I have time, I'll probably post some mini-reviews on those).
Single issues: gave Generation X #1 a shot, but on the fence about it. Really loving the Wildstorm revival.

Single issues: gave Generation X #1 a shot, but on the fence about it. Really loving the Wildstorm revival. I read the first 4 issues some time ago. I found it highly enjoyable and something I really want to finish at some point. Of all the new versions, like Scooby apocalypse and stuff like that, this was what I enjoyed most.
Because of a ever growing "to read" pile I was going to not buy any more comics for a while with one exception. Marvels line of Spider-man epics. Those are great and I am getting them as they are released.
