Aquaman steals the show in that trailer! Seems to have much more in common with the Greek God Poseidon than Aquaman, at least appearance wise.

Yes and his appearance reminds me of the 90s Aquaman too. I prefer the clean cut blonde version, but I guess for the dark DC cinematic world, that version fits best. It was cool to see Mera too in the trailer.

Aquaman steals the show in that trailer! Personally, when I saw this trailer with the sound on - his voice irks me badly and with that alone and Cyborg being done in CGI format - I say this - with the trailer indication that Aquaman and Cyborg will be the first two Justice Leaguers that I don't like. I will see this movie with an open mind and all and having said that I think that this movie will be a hit or miss for Warner Bros and if this movie is a miss for me ... my days of watching anymore Justice League Movies are over. I seen Jason in Conan, Wolves, and saw him briefly in Game of Thrones and I was thinking why in the world that he gets to play Aquaman ... his tattoos is a big no-no in my book and I just can't stand it at all. Sorry, mrjupiter - this guy is not the right actor to play Aquaman!

Aquaman steals the show in that trailer! If by "steals the show" you mean he is incredibly annoying, then I agree.

While everyone is bringing up diversity for Cyborg being included over Martian Manhunter (which could have easily been achieved using John Stewart or an African American alter ego for J'onn as they did on Smallville and Supergirl), the best (and funniest) reason I have heard for it is that WB is suffering from Iron Man envy! -M Funny, but isn't it just that Cyborg is now a founding JLA member in the comics? He'll always be a Teen Titan to me, or at least, not a founding JLA member. Would rather have seen your other suggestions, or even Black Lightning.

At least that is the thinking of those who put forward the Iron Man envy idea. -M

Thinking about it, maybe Steel would be another option, though they'd have to come up with another background for him than the "replacement Superman" in the comics. Or maybe he would be too close to Stark.

Wow... just wow. So, they've got an Aquaman that in the trailer looks acts alot more like Namor than Aquaman... Barry Allen as an annoying teenager(Spider-Envy, I think), and Cyborg with horrendous CGI. What is DC thinking? No Green Lantern? Or is he just so bad he doesn't get to be in the trailer? They really need ot just scrap the movie verse and bring the major characters into the CW-DC.
I can see the 90s Aquaman appearance wise, but that version was much more regal and intellectual... this one seems more like Conan-under-the-sea. That's not a terrible thing, but it's not really Aquaman either.

I didn't actually see that one... watching the studios butcher Conan is just too sad. I believe it, though. I guess it's the look, but why he's so popular, I don't really get, he wasn't particular good in Game of Thrones, either.

I liked Momoa's role on Stargate Atlantis as Ronan. Based on the attitude on display here though, this appeared to be Ronan dressed up in a undersea costume.
Meh on the rest. Along with the shaky CGI- Cyborg, this Barry Allen looks too young. Affleck and Gadot being the highlights says a lot about the potential of this film. Parademons looked good though.

Momoa was Conan? I thought that was pretty good, actually.

Pretty sad indictment of what Warners are doing, that of a bunch of hard-core dyed-in-the-wool comics nerds, only 1 of us is excited about the prospect of a Justice League film, and the rest of us expect it to suck. Make it 2 of us with excitement. Growing up i never dared dream or hope for such big budget movies of comic book brands so i am very happy to live in a time when these are being made. I don't take any comic book movie for granted and will go see them on the big screen in support of more coming our way. While the DC movies are flawed (every movie has them) i find them to be enjoyable enough. To be honest, i like the DC movies better so far than the 1st three X-Men movies. I do wish they would drop the grey tones and let the movies be bright and shiny but i get that Warner wants to look and feel different than what Marvel is doing. And since they already proved grim, dark and gritty will sell in the Batman movies they are playing it safe. And in a way any other DC movies are just really an extension of the Batverse in the executives eyes. Just glad we are finally getting other DC heroes into the movie and television world.

That's what DC/WB don't seem to understand though. Dark and gritty makes sense for Batman. It makes sense for the Punisher. It makes sense for Wolverine. It doesn't make a shred of sense for a character like Superman. Marvel fully embraces the inherent goofiness of these superheroes except for when it makes sense to go in the other direction (the Marvel Netflix shows being a prime example). Captain America in the MCU acts waaaaay more like Superman than actual Superman in the DCEU. Like others have said, the heads over at WB witnessed the massive success that was Nolan's Batman trilogy and now they think they have to treat all of the DC properties the same way. Taking a character who flies around in a cape and tights and trying to portray it in some serious, dark tone is infinitely sillier than just embracing the character for what he is. Evidently we're not allowed to have a fun Superman anymore. It's too "childish" according to dicks like Snyder.
