Can't wait for this.
It's always a treat to see Usagi stories in color!

I'm intrigued both by the limited edition hardcover format (with all sorts of goodies included) and by how continuity is going to play out in this thing -- has Usagi met these guys before or not? And what's Jei doing there??
The TMNT crossovers are always lighthearted fun. It sure sounds like Stan has poured a lot of energy and creativity into this! I do hope this will encourage more new readers to check out Usagi (or to come back to him).

Well then. I'm excited for this. It'll be the first Usagi story I've bought that'll be new.

I'm also intrigued by the fold out pages Stan discusses in the interview. I wonder how that will translate in the collected editions. Much as I've become a champion of the Saga editions, I think this is one volume that will probably read best in its original format.

The question is, will I break my general rule of not buying variants. And I'm not going to count getting the HC and regular as variants.

In the article it says that Usagi has not met these particular Turtles (being rebooted Turtles, we can assume they're from a different, but slightly similar universe). That said, Usagi should remember his previous encounter, but the Turtles will not since it wasn't them that last met Usagi. Interesting, indeed.

With how awesome the David Petersen cover is, I think it's a rule worth breaking. Stan did say, however, that the HC would collect the variant covers inside, so maybe you don't need all the variants. Who am I kidding? Of course you still need the variants!

I don't think i could afford many variants that are above cover price.

Comic Con and website exclusive figures? Cool! I wonder if both planned figures are Usagi, or if either of them is a supporting character...
I hope they're not too hard to get.

We are hoping to have a Sakai Exclusive figure that will be available through the website, probably in the fall I initially misread this to mean a figure of Stan Sakai. I would be all over that!!

Stan posted today that he'll also be doing a Sakai exclusive cover which will be available in both hardcover and softcover, with both utilizing the same art. I assume this will be available at conventions and his stansakai.com webstore.
