And I would LOVE to write a DC/Marvel crossover with the Justice Society & the Invaders.
They would be pulled from their own Earths to another Earth to stop WW3 which started when the Cuban Missile Crisis ended poorly. This results in a World War between the USA & the USSR.
A scientist named Thomas Roy on Earth 1941 discovers the existence of the multiverse. Meanwhile the Cuban Missile Crisis ends poorly & the USA & the USSR are at war. The rest of the world are pulled into the conflict. JFK is told about Roy's discovery & asks him to find another Earth that can help end the conflict. Roy finds the JSA & the Invaders & they are brought over to help end WW3.
At the end of the story the JSA & the Invaders return to their Earths & in the epilogue we see Pharmacist Bob Benton become the Black Terror.

I actually have a few things I would like to write for Marvel, none of which involve major characters. First off, I would love to revive two of their attempts at "horror" comics from the '90s, those being Nightstalkers and Darkhold. For the former, the dynamic of Frank Drake, Blade, and Hannibal King as partners, friends, and occasional enemies (particularly for Blade and King) is interesting, and I would love to do something that allowed them to operate like an anti-supernatural wetworks team, maybe working at the direction of Doctor Strange to deal with lower-level mystical and supernatural threats like vampires, werewolves, etc., while he took on the dimension-spanning, world-threatening baddies. In the instance of the latter, I loved the anthology nature of the original series and the idea of a group trying to collect the pages of the Darkhold for evil and a group trying to stop them, but it got bogged down in too many crossovers and with too many appearances of mainstream characters like Sabretooth, Ghost Rider, and Punisher. Something like that should be more Lovecraftian (even though I'm not a big fan of his actual work), with the groups lurking around the corners of the MU, not running into major characters unless there was some really good reason to do so. The other thing that I would love to try to make work, particularly in this day and age, is a revival of the Silver Sable title. She's a strong, independent female character who has her own crew of specialists to handle any job. I could see it as sort of a Mission Impossible-style title, with her taking on jobs for various entities that no one else will touch because of their complexity. She's responsible for the economic success of Symkaria, her homeland, so the higher the risk of a job, the higher the reward and the better it would be for her countrymen. It could have a real international flair, putting her anywhere on the globe with a handpicked team for each job, letting there be a rotating cast of supporting characters as well as the opportunity to bring in freelancers, such as Luke Cage or Paladin, for specific jobs. I could see that working if they did it in the style of Burn Notice, where they focused on the spy-stuff and not had it be just another super hero book.

I'd love to write a First Wave Batman book. Doc Savage and the Spirit are gone from DC now, but I thought there was room for more stories about the Batman that carried a pair of Colt.45 handguns.

How do you reconcile "nothing supernatural" and "Haunted Tank"? Cei-U! I summon the fly in the ointment! Battle fatigue. That works! If i remember correctly it was only the commander Jeb, the descendant of General Stuart who could see or interact/speak with the ghostly General. So of course the rest of the crew would think their commander was either suffering from battle fatigue or in need of a Section 8 dismissal and not a section 8 housing development

Amazing Spider-Man. I'd undo the erasing of Peter Parker and Mary Jane's marriage, by somehow utilising whatever it was that MJ whispered to Mephisto in the final instalment of One More Day, right before the "devil deal" was made. As far as I'm aware -- and I haven't read any Spider-Man comics for almost two years now, I should add -- that piece of secret dialogue, which neither the reader or Peter could hear, has never again been referenced. That would be my device for restoring the pre-One More Day timeline. The upshot of this reversing of Mephisto's deal would be that I would take Peter and MJ back to how their life was at the end of J. Michael Strazinsky's run on ASM. The two major differences would be that Aunt May would be alive and Peter's secret identity would be a secret, after he revealed it to the whole world during Civil War. Not sure how I'd do this, but I might get Dr. Strange to fix it. Furthermore, all the horrible character regression that characters such as Felicia Hardy/Black Cat, Sandman and Mary Jane Watson have gone through since the One More Day/Brand New Day clusterf**k happened would be undone. These characters would be acting just like they should, with all the decades of character progression they've gone through intact, not existing as some warped version of how they were back in the Bronze Age. Oh, and Harry Osborne would still be dead and no one would ever again speak of the utterly c**p-tactic idea that was Spider-Gwen, since she would be wiped from existence. Other ASM cast members getting wiped from existence would include all the sub-par ancillary characters that the inaccurately titled "Spidey Brain Trust" and Dan Slott brought to the book, such as Charlie Cooper, Lily Hollister/Menace, Michele Gonzales, Anna Maria Marconi, and Max Dillon and all the rest of the Future Foundation. I'd probably retain the best of the new post-OMD villains though, like Overdrive, Mister Negative, and Tracer. But Kraven the Hunter would still definitely, definitely be dead. To help translate my (frankly awesome) stories into the kind of comic books that give you chills, I'd have a rotating art team of Mike Deodato, Doug Wheatley, and the legend that is John Romita Sr. (who will be brought kicking and screaming out of retirement because the world of comics needs him now more than ever, Goddammit!). These artists will either ink themselves or have Tom Palmer inking for them, as each Penciller handles every third story arc of mine in rotating order. Spare no expense, Marvel! I need those artists and that inker in order to save Spider-Man and return the Amazing Spider-Man comic to its former glory! This sentence is all kinds of awesome.

I always said I'd write Captain Amreica in the Marvel U but with real world political issues and the complexities of different ideologies, etc. Brubaker has gotten the closest to what I would do.
For DC, I'd write the heck out of Azrael, the holy avenger, being manipulated as the hand of justice for a Da Vinci Code-type of secret society at war with other competing forces.

If I had to pick marquee characters:
DC would be Superman. My version would be a lot like Tomasi's run. I would also bring in old elements like the Legion.
Marvel - FF. I like the idea of Ben & Alicia finally getting married. I would write them as the heroes that all the other heroes in the MU admire most.

How do you reconcile "nothing supernatural" and "Haunted Tank"? Cei-U! I summon the fly in the ointment! Well, that is the rub. I was thinking that it could be a hallucination by Jeb Stuart, of Gen. Stuart, after a battle injury. After that, it is a joke name given to the tank by others in the unit, which Jeb adopts in defiance. While we are at it, one of the Losers' missions could involve the USS Stevens. I see the Losers as being more like the Alamo Scouts, conducting recon and raiding behind Japanese lines. It gives a better reason for Capt. Storm to be there (PT Boats mainly operated in the Pacific) and Johnny Cloud could have been recruited to be both a code talker and a resident pilot, covering two bases. Gunner and Sarge were Marines, serving in the Pacific, before The Losers stories; so, it makes sense. Cloud's series was set in the European theater (may have included North Africa), bu the switch is easier to the Pacific, as Navajo code talkers were used by the Marines and he could easily be shifted to being a Marine pilot, instead of Army Air Force. Make Gunner and Sarge Marine Raiders and you have the perfect set-up to bring them together.

DC Flash Legacy a New Title seperate from the main Flash book (this is an idea I've been thinking about the last few months) This would largely focus on Classic Wally West (barring current events in the Titans/Teen Titans etc) However things would not be the same as they were (Onviously) In terms of his love-life Wally dates not only Donna, but also eventually develops a relationship with Lilith. In the meantime, his primary focus is on re-establishing his identity in the DC Universe.
