I actually have a few things I would like to write for Marvel, none of which involve major characters. First off, I would love to revive two of their attempts at "horror" comics from the '90s, those being Nightstalkers and Darkhold. For the former, the dynamic of Frank Drake, Blade, and Hannibal King as partners, friends, and occasional enemies (particularly for Blade and King) is interesting, and I would love to do something that allowed them to operate like an anti-supernatural wetworks team, maybe working at the direction of Doctor Strange to deal with lower-level mystical and supernatural threats like vampires, werewolves, etc., while he took on the dimension-spanning, world-threatening baddies. In the instance of the latter, I loved the anthology nature of the original series and the idea of a group trying to collect the pages of the Darkhold for evil and a group trying to stop them, but it got bogged down in too many crossovers and with too many appearances of mainstream characters like Sabretooth, Ghost Rider, and Punisher. Something like that should be more Lovecraftian (even though I'm not a big fan of his actual work), with the groups lurking around the corners of the MU, not running into major characters unless there was some really good reason to do so. The other thing that I would love to try to make work, particularly in this day and age, is a revival of the Silver Sable title. She's a strong, independent female character who has her own crew of specialists to handle any job. I could see it as sort of a Mission Impossible-style title, with her taking on jobs for various entities that no one else will touch because of their complexity. She's responsible for the economic success of Symkaria, her homeland, so the higher the risk of a job, the higher the reward and the better it would be for her countrymen. It could have a real international flair, putting her anywhere on the globe with a handpicked team for each job, letting there be a rotating cast of supporting characters as well as the opportunity to bring in freelancers, such as Luke Cage or Paladin, for specific jobs. Missed this one until now. I don't know the Silver Sable character but I have similar views about other good female characters that I think should be given more attention. But what really caught my eye was the two supernatural series: I never heard of either of them and they both seem like excellent ideas to me. Too bad the execution wasn't there, from the sounds of it. I'd like to say they should be revived but in the current climate at Marvel I don't think it's possible to do a really good supernatural horror/adventure series because everything has to be tied into the superhero universe, like making Dracula an agent of SHIELD, or whatever it is they did. edit: forgot to mention, I'd love to see Mike Ploog draw the Darkhold series. I always associate his artwork with the Darkhold, since it was in the pages of his Werewolf by Night that I first read of it.

Lucky for you then, this would be a fine time for such a series since Silver Sable was recently 'revived' in ASM. She's seeking to restore Symkaria by ousting Norman Osborn, who had assumed silent control of the country and turned it into a munitions global power player that coincided with the downfall of Latveria. As for OP, first thought would be a new Ghost Rider mini with Blaze that would somehow explore the character's connection to other religions and mysticism throughout the world. For example, in the dreadful Shadowland event, one of the few highlights was the mention of the Hand's knowledge of the Rider and hints of a previous encounter or adventure between them. I thought it was very interesting to see a connection between a supernatural being and the Oriental mysticism of the Hand Order, a connection that, to my knowledge, has not been explored any since then.

I guess I can say Death from Sandman since Vertigo is owned by DC. I love that woman. And since I've written a shorts and poems I guess I could. Dunno if anyone would like it though. I'm no professional.

I did a makeover for Marvel's with a total redo for Avengers. I want to let everyone knows that I'm a fan of Isis ... and Captain Marvel and I wanted to have a Comic Book featuring these characters together and make it work this time with the right creative team in place this book could do well in today's market. We have several Captain Marvel's fans here and I'm one of them too; and with Isis this could help DC Comics to relaunch her and make her a winner in my book. To be, honest with you ... I don't know what creative team would handle this task?

I've had an idea kicking around for years for a one-shot called Madame Fatal and the Spider Widow, a classic love story about two average youngsters who fight crime dressed as old ladies in 1940s New York...

Perhaps if she proves popular, we'll see a resurgence of her when/if they get around to doing the Shazam Rebirth stuff.

Good point here and I hope that she does well in that show and I need to keep tabs on Shazam Rebirth as well. Thanks for pointing it out.

I believe Spider Widow is a public domain character. Is Madame Fatale also? Madam Fatal is a former Quality character currently owned by DC. Spider Widow was also a part of the Quality stable, all of which was sold to DC, but they have never used her so she would be in the public domain now.

DC: Slam Bradley (go figure) done full-on pulp/paperback original hard-boiled detective. Probably set in the 30s channeling Hammett and Chandler. The Crimson Avenger done in the style of Sandman Mystery Theater. So full on gritty late 30s pulp noir about the first costumed hero prowling the mean streets of New York. I'd pull storylines directly from the newspaper headlines. King Faraday: DC's James Bond set in the late 50s/early 60s. Cold-war spy action. Marvel: Dominic Fortune: 30's action-adventure pulp adventures spanning the globe. Caleb Hammer: I like the possibilities of an old-west Pinkerton. And given the frequent skeevyness of the Pinkerton Agency at the time there is plenty of opportunity for soul-searching. Hmmmm...I see a pattern here. I'd buy the hell out of each of these titles...

I love the fun obscure DC characters from all eras.. I have a few ideas:
Forgotten Heroes A team of the obscure heroes from the 60s to the 90s going against an obscure super villain
Faust & the Devil Blue Devil and Sebastian Faust team up. Think Supernatural but with these two yahoos...
Sea Devils
A combination of Seal Team Six video games meets Commando Creatures of the Deep
Knight & Squire
The UK Batman and Beryl Hutchinson (my favorite Squire)
Binky & His Buddies
Taking Binky and those 60s teen books and making a drama/Vertigo title. Binky, Jason (from Jason's Quest), Maniaks, Debbi (Date With Debbi), etc...

I don't know what creative team would handle this task? Jeff Parker and 'Doc' Shaner, no question. Parker would carry over the classic tone and sensibility while adding some modern flair & characterization while Shaner's art is pitch-perfect for these types of characters with their history and distinctive classic looks.

String ... That's would be a good creative team of Parker and Shaner and I like Shaner's art especially the way he does his pencils and so forth. Good catch here.

Knight & Squire
The UK Batman and Beryl Hutchinson (my favorite Squire) I thought the mini-series that Paul Cornell did a few years back was pretty fun.
