I love this image (though I think Rita should be about as tall as the others--or even taller than Larry) even when she's not giant-size. This isn't the Burns N-Man image I was looking for, but it'll do:

It's an annoying tic that some artists have to make ALL the men about 6'4" and ALL the women about 5'3".
The most recent issue of Detective Comics has full-grown Zatanna looking like a 12-year-old.

My Doom Patrol Omnibus arrived today via mail and the owner of my LCS did it as a courtesy and used my Store Credit to pay for it. I was happy to see it today and can't wait to read it tomorrow.

I love the picture, but you misspelled 'Mike Allred'.

No Spike not the pic I posted, which is indeed Mike Allred, but the pic at the top of this page, which is by Richard Sala loathe, you don't like Allred ? I love his stuff and was honored to meet him in '97. Really great guy. I'm 6'3" and he's taller than me ! He was a newscaster before deciding to take the plunge full-time into comics.

i dig Allred as a person. I very much admire his layouts/breakdowns; they're very Kirby circa 1962.
his art finished by himself, for me, is 'barf'.
to be fair, I'd likely love his stuff if more tightly pencilled/less 'wannabe-indie' and inked by Royer.
THAT stuff would sell like hotcakes and I'd happily buy it.

What art of his have you liked that's been published ?

you're asking that from a writer's/marketer's p.o.v. which isn't quite fair. i don't see things from a 'reader/consumer' perspective. i see things from a 'i know what happened to make the printed page happen' perspective. there are things he's done which i could have liked, had he been inked by someone else. that i can answer for you, if you wish.

You mean Charles Burns ?
I'm just trying to picture which Allred works you like and which ones you don't and compare the two.

You mean Charles Burns ? A. I'm just trying to picture which Allred works you like and which ones you don't and compare the two.yes, Charles Burns. barf.As per 'A', it's not that simple, for the reason I stated above. it's clear i love Kane. I do not love Kane inked by Janson. at all. I do love Kane inked by Romita. and I love all Kane un-inked pencils. I surmise that if I could see life-drawing art by Allred, I'd love that art. but to an illustration freelancer, your question is both '2 questions', and also too simplified.
