I prefer Harvey Birdman to Birdman. The original always seemed like a lesser version of Space Ghost, with less intriguing villains. Blue Falcon was a favorite, with Dyno-Mutt in tow. Ya get that thing I sentcha? Ha, ha!!!!!! Ambiguous question! Phil Ken Sebbin..... the name was brilliant! |

Always loved winged characters. Hawkman (Golden Age Carter) is one of my favourite DC characters, and the Angel (NOT Archangel), Nighthawk (who really should be on the poll list) and Red Raven are three of my favourite Marvel characters. But I really had to vote for the Condor, one of the most underappreciated villains in comics.

Always loved winged characters. Hawkman (Golden Age Carter) is one of my favourite DC characters, and the Angel (NOT Archangel), Nighthawk (who really should be on the poll list) and Red Raven are three of my favourite Marvel characters. But I really had to vote for the Condor, one of the most underappreciated villains in comics. Almost included Nighthawk as he is a fave in the Defenders run, but it always felt like his flying was just a gimmick added on to him because his name has "hawk" in it. To me Nighthawk is the skilled acrobatic type especially since he began life as a Batman version for Marvel. And no matter what looks they keep coming up with Kyle's blue/black with golden hawk chest piece and red winged cape when he joined the Defenders is the version which I always most admire. And kudo's for the Condor vote. He would be in my top five. Loooved his villainy in the Nova comics! |

Hawkman: despite his convoluted history, he is my favorite. I prefer the Carter Hall/Egyptian reincarnated version. I still have my run of the Geoff Johns series and collected the title up until the end. Hawkman is just a cool, tough hero and I like the weapons he uses. Also like his partnership with the love of his life, Hawkgirl. Also liked his bickering relationship with Green Arrow in the 70s JLoA.
I hear that Hawkman is a big part of the Metal series from DC. Hoping they get him back in the spotlight.
Angel would be my second choice. I always thought he was cool and a visually beautiful character. I lost interest when they changed him to Archangel and have no idea which version he is now.
