How about some more hate? 1. Bob Kane's treatment and dismissal of Bill Finger. Very True Indeed ...

...what John Byrne did to Superman, what Grant Morrison did to Plastic Man, what Alan Moore did to The Joker, what Frank Miller did to Batman, what DC did to Captain Marvel, what comics have done to women, what Mort Weisinger did to his staff, what The Joker did to Robin, what The Comics Code did to comics, what time has done to all those great publishers such as Fawcett, Quality, Fox, Lev Gleason, etc... Sounds like you don't like comics much... If I regarded the above as indicative of what comics genuinely are you'd be right.

Comic book fanboys.
The persistent insistence that Comics = Big Two Superhero books.
The seeming inability to look at comics, creators, etc. with historical nuance. (Kane-bad, Finger-good. Kirby-good, Lee-bad).
The persistent cries of doom, ringing the death-knell of comics...for at least the last 65 years.
Wait...that's not so much comics as comic readers.

Cei-U!, re: "It was the ridiculous level of overexposure that got to me, along with him never actually paying for his crimes (not to mention being elected president!)." Are we talking about comics here, or current events? If it's the latter, I can relate...

How about some more hate? 1. Bob Kane's treatment and dismissal of Bill Finger. Very True Indeed ... I agree with this, Bill Finger probably contributed more to the Batman mythos than Bob Kane himself, but...without Bob Kane would we have a Batman?? Although Kane's treatment of Finger (and others) was very shrewd indeed, taking ALL of the credit and unwilling to share anything, insisting his name alone be credited on the comics! Thankfully Finger finally received the credit due to him. Sadly, Finger died in near poverty while Kane was still living in the limelight. I was happy to read somewhere that Finger was given writing credits for an episode of the 60's Batman series. And of course now his name is right there alongside of Kane's as co-creator.

Partially agree, but let's split some hairs. The '50s Bill Finger written Batman was by far the most interesting version of the character - Full of giant typewriters and villains who treat their encounters with Batman as larger than life theater. (This is my favorite motivation for villains, FAR more interesting than "I had childhood tramaus and now I do a bunch of murders.") I'm always interested in the relationship between comics and visual arts, so the trippy '50s Gotham which always seemed only inches away from pure surrealism (and nobody ever remarks upon this!) is always going to be more interesting than the current extremely-on-the-nose modern gothic Gotham. I've always felt mainstream comics lost a lot when they stopped being primarily written by sophisticated New York Jews - there just hasn't been a Batman writer since who had Finger's knowledge of (then) current art, myth, and culture. I of course completely understand the popularity of the modern Batman - He's a man-child who never progressed past childhood in most ways, and he can acquire all the toys that he wants, so modern nerds relate to this in a soul-deep level. Finger's paternalistic adult Batman feels millions of miles away to them. Still, once we get into the late '50s and Batman started aping the Superman family of books they lose a lot of their charm.

To start with:
I hate Aquaman.
I hate Deadpool.
I hate Bendis' concept of the Illuminati.
I hate that Wolverine was ever an Avenger (and the very reason that he was).
I hate that Norman Osborn raped Gwen Stacy.
I hate that death is a completely meaningless concept in the Big Two books.
I hate that thought balloons are not longer used.
Same for footnotes.

I hate, hate, hate Universe wide events that interfere with every storyline in individual books and always include a main character dying.

I'll repeat the same thing I write every time one of these type of threads/questions come up: I hate Rick Jones. He's a useless pile of garbage who has infected nearly every corner of the MU at one point in time or another with his inanity. Bruce Banner should have let the little twerp get atomized, and while that would have deprived the world of the Hulk, it would also have prevented this crapweasel from being foisted upon us. Don't hold back, Cap.

More Hate ...
1. I hate when DC Comics introduced us Simon Baz, the Green Lantern with a Gun, when you have the most powerful weapon in the Universe why need a gun?
2. I hate the Justice League at one point when Luthor was the Team Leader and one it's member was Captain Cold.
3. I hate DC Comics at one point had so many Justice League Teams it's devalued the once and mighty icon team. Justice League Canada/United, Justice League Dark, Justice League, Justice League of America ... get my drift.
4. I don't care for Deadpool either ...
5. Nor, Thanos too and having all of those infinity gems and all ... making him too powerful for his own good and all.
6. I just wished Marvel did not did the Gwen Stacey Story of how she died ... makes me very sad reader after that.
7. I hate when Marvel created an Iron Man Hulkbuster ... what a joke it was!
8. I just can't stand Liefeld at all ... the biggest moron in the Comic Book Industry alive! ... I just hate him period!
9. It's frustrate me when both companies DC and Marvel just can't keep Writers and Artists together longer (when they are doing just fine) and soon you start enjoying the Book ... they break them up! ... That's my biggest hate of them all.
10. I also hate when both Companies use several books to complete a story and that's bothers me a lot.

Yeah I hate Thanos and the Infinity Gems being overused and creators only on a title for an arc.

The one I really hate that no one has mentioned yet is Psylocke. She is everything bad about comic book stereotypes to me, and her existence makes me angry. As far as I am concerned, you just won the internet for the day! I like Psyloke. She's intelligent, badass, and actually has personality. I kinda agree about universe wide events with some exceptions. The Annihilation Wave War of Kings and Rift events were good and Secret Wars 2015 was a GREAT swan song to the fantastic 4. Dr Doom's evolution has been pretty good as well.

I hate that Norman Osborn raped Gwen Stacy. Just to nitpick (and it's an important nitpick), Norman Osborn did not rape Gwen Stacy. She willingly had sex with him and then bitterly regretted it. Not the same thing as rape.
