Just remembered this cover in time for the contest. They just dumped them all into one hole? The grave was symbolic. The Hellions (except Empath and Magma) were drained of their life forces by Fitzroy. At the end of the story, Warpath, Cannonball and Firestar went to the Mass. Academy, and retrieved a photo album full of pics of the Hellions, and Firestar used her powers to cremate it.

I know it's all in fun (and I already know who I'm voting for, as I can't see that cover being topped (in my eyes)). . but I must admit I'm a bit disappointed that there appear to be so few LHS fans here. never noticed that before Bert, you've seen Hoosier X 's LSH thread? (You meant the Legion, right?) classiccomics.org/thread/2686/interlac-spoken-legion-heroes-threadI'm a big Legion fan, too, and I'm thinking there are at least a few others... Maybe Farrar and md62 , too? Plus, there's always seemed to have been lots of love for the Great Darkness saga. Count me in as a big Legion fan. My all-time favorite DC title, actually.

^That cover rocks! But were any of those Teen Titans stories any good? Or are Cardy's covers the only bright spot That depends on where you stand on Silver Age DC, and Bob Haney. Personally, I thought they were fun for the most part. The stories did try to get "hip" and socially relevant after Haney less the title (though he did come back for a bit) with mixed results.

I'm absolutely amazed one 80's "iconic" cover hasn't shown up.

I'll have to pick up an ish some day. But generally, Silver Age DC is too campy and corny for me. A shame because the covers on a lot of the late 60's stuff seemed ahead of their time and appear to promise darker, more in depth stories and yet, it seems to always be something silly.
