Welcome to the forum, Mr Deodato! I still have the trade paperbacks with your run on Wonder Woman. I enjoyed it very much--Wonder Woman, Artemis, The White Magician-loved it from start to finish! In fact, the girl I was dating way back then read it as well and it made her a fan of Wonder Woman.

The Hulk art was great, I also loved the Tigra miniseries (with a cool design for Tigra that I haven't seen anyone else use, too.) I was trying a style using no contour lines back then. I later used it in the first issues of Original Sin I haven't read that, and I'm not really sure what that means. But I liked the furry arms & legs:

mikedeodato ... Howdy and thanks for joining us. Sadly, I didn't read your run of Wonder Woman because I was too busy the time that you did it. I have a dear friend of mine who is and I'm thinking of borrowing his books soon. Welcome to CCF.

That is so surprising. One would think that with such a prominent character, Bryne would've had more of an impact of some kind. Especially considering he was the one who gave us her first appearance Post-Crisis in the Legends mini. Byrne was only the penciller. Ostrander & Wein wrote the script. Y'know, other than his collaboration with Claremont, I'm so accustomed to thinking of Bryne as the sole writer/artist creator that moments like this slip through my memory.

I remember when it was announced Byrne would be taking over Wonder Woman and looking forward to it. I was very disappointed with the results. The art was not good and in some issues, Wonder Woman's forehead was bigger than her entire body. He simplified her costume, removing all but 2 stars from her shorts ( I recall an article at the time alleged Byrne was too lazy to draw all the stars). A forgettable run indeed. I did enjoy the introduction of Cassie as Wonder Girl--and some outcry that it should have been Vanessa instead of a new character. Bryne stated in an interview that he created Cassie to be the new Wonder Girl because he felt Perez never showed any previous indication of wanting to lead Vanessa down a similar path and he saw no need to do so too as a result. One of his bigger goals upon taking over the title was not to upend/alter anything Perez had established since he felt that Perez still cast a long shadow over the title so he felt the need to explore different ground with Diana.

I liked Cassie much better than Vanessa. I never liked Vanessa or Julia that much.
